Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the steady performance of a battery by stacking two fabric comprising carbon fibers, exposing from resin the opposite side of the bonded side, and giving conductivity and no liquid permeability in a thickness direction. CONSTITUTION:A piece of carbon fiber fabric is stacked on each side of a thermoplastic resin sheet, and the stacked body is bonded under a pressure of 5-100kg/cm at a temperature exceeding the melting point or the softening point of the thermoplastic resin but below its decomposition point. The two fabrics are bonded each other by the resin spreading in a layer state from stacked surface, but bonded only in the central part in a thickness direction, and the opposite side of the bonded side is exposed to form a reaction electrode. The resin spreading in a layer state in the central part in a thickness direction gives good shape holding property to an electrode plate, and separates a positive electrolyte from a negative electrolyte during operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a speaker diaphragm with excellent cohesion by laminating a carbon fiber material which has no sizing agent on it and a sheet-shaped thermoplastic resin, and making them composite together. CONSTITUTION:The carbon-fiber plain weave fabric is heated at about 380 deg.C for about 30min to decompose and remove the sizing agent of epoxy resin series. Then, the fabric after removing the sizing agent is laid on a film of nylon 6 resin. The fabric and the film together are put in a flat mold and heated up to approximately 280 deg.C, and subjected to a pressure of about 5kg/cm for about 5min. Then the pressure is increased to 50kg/cm and the fabric and the film together are cooled for about 10min in the mold. As a result, a flat composite sheet made of carbon fiber fabric and nylon 6 resin is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title molding with high efficiency, by heating a composite sheet, prepared by uniting cloth of a fully aromatic polyamide fiber with other thermoplastic resin having a lower melting point, at an intermediate temperature between the melting points of the two materials, and then forming the composite sheet with a metal die controlled at a temperature lower than the melting points of the two materials. CONSTITUTION:Cloth made of a fully aromatic polyamide (comprising main constructional units consisting of aromatic diamine and aromatic dicarboxylic acid) fiber and other thermoplastic resin (e.g. polyamide such as nylon 6) having a melting or softening point lower than that of the polyamide fiber are lapped together with a cloth ratio of 5-70% (preferably 20-60%) by volume and hot- pressed into an integral composite sheet. The composite sheet is preheated at a temperature higher than the melting or softening point of the thermoplastic resin but lower than its decomposition point and the melting point of the fully aromatic polyamide, and then compressed or formed into an objective molding by a metal die controlled at a temperature lower than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an FRP formed product having a good surface smoothness and a superior mechanical strength by a method wherein a fiber-like reinforcing agent is blended with a forming material and a bridge structure is given to the blended materials. CONSTITUTION:A crystalline thermoplastic resin, such as olefine series polymer, polyamide, polyester, polythioether and the like, for example, blended with 5- 60vol% of fiber-like reinforcing agent such as glass fiber, metallic fiber, botanical fiber and the like, for example, and having a bridge degree of 5% or more, is preheated to a temperature higher than a melting point of the resin and lower than a decomposing temperature thereof. The preheated resin is supplied into cavity between a pair of metallic molds having a temperature lower than the melting point of the resin and is formed under being compressed, thereby, an FRP product may be obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To keep a configuration upon preheating in a compression forming in good condition, secure a stable feeding to metallic molds as well as a mechanical strength and smoothness of a surface, and plan to improve an efficiency in manufacturing by a method wherein a bridge structure is given to a crystalline polyamide resin beforehand. CONSTITUTION:A crystalline polyamide resin, bridged at 30% of bridge percentage or more and having a characteristic wherein a configuration of resin is kept in good condition even though the resin is preheated to a temperature above a melting point and below a decomposition temperature, is utilized as a material. A platelike piece of the above-described resin is preheated to a temperature above the melting point and below the decomposition temperature and is transfered into a metallic mold, then, a formed product is manufactured by closing the metallic mold rapidly by a press, forming the plate-like resin preheated above the melting point and cooling it within the metallic mold. The formed product may be manufactured in efficient because the plate-like resin preheated above the melting point may be fed into the metallic mold in stable and the product is formed under cooling it in the metallic mold.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a resin molding excellent in the surface smoothness, mechanical property and dimensional stability by stamping crystaline polyester resin above a specified level of cross-linking at the melting point to the decomposition temperature. CONSTITUTION:A crystaline polyester resin cross linked at a rate of 30% or more, preferably 45% or more, is molded by stamping above the melting point but below the decomposition temperature. If the cross linking rate of the crystaline polyester resin is less than 30%, the shape of the material can not be maintained properly when heated above the melting point in the stamping molding. This not only makes it hard to transfer the material to the mold and hampers the improvement in the smoothness of the molding surface but also render the mechanical property and the dimensional stability of the molding unsatisfactory. Thus, such a condition of the material is unpreferrable and should be avoided.
