Abstract: PURPOSE:To retard elongation, bending and generation of crease of filter cloth and to provide filter cloth having stable performance for solid liquid separation, by providing a reinforcing zone to the middle part of the breadth and over the whole periphery of an endlessly processed filter cloth. CONSTITUTION:Filter cloth 1 is sewn together endlessly, and perforated belts 2, 3 are sewn to both side edges of the filter cloth to stretch the filter cloth and to prevent meandering of the filter cloth during running. Said belts 2, 3 comprise a composite material of synthetic fiber cloth and rubber. Further, a reinforcing zone 4 is provided to the middle part of the breadth of the filter cloth 1 and in the whole periphery integrally with the filter cloth 1. The reinforcing zone 4 is joined by sewing, adhering, or fuse-bonding to the filter cloth. The base material for the reinforcing zone 4 may be selected from any material having lower elongation and higher tensile strength than the filter cloth. The reinforcing zone may be plurally provided or it may be provided to the front side or rear side of the filter cloth.
