    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a crawl apparatus useful for fishery, etc., capable of keeping a sufficient strength for any load caused by the waves, etc., and excellent in corrosion resistance and durability to sea water by being equipped with a frame structure using a fiber reinforced plastic member as an indispensable member. SOLUTION: This crawl is provided with a frame structure 1 employing, as an indispensable member, a fiber reinforced plastic member e.g. a material obtained by reinforcing a thermosetting plastic resin such as an unsaturated polyester resin with a fiber material such as carbon fiber. Preferably, the frame structure comprises fiber reinforced plastic pipes and fiber reinforced plastic members connecting the pipes, and the crawl apparatus is pref. equipped with at least a float 2 and net 3.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container which is light in the weight and strong in the strength and excellent in the heat-insulation property, by forming at least the side plates of the container with fiber-reinforced plastics and specifying the thickness of the sheet and the volumetric content ratio of the fiber material within a certain range. SOLUTION: At lest the thickness of the fiber reinforced plastics(FRP) sheet constituting the side plates 2 of a container 1 is set within 0.1-1.5mm and the volumetric content ratio of the fiber is set within 25-65%. If the thickness of the FRP sheet is thinner than 0.1mm, it is difficult to give a high piercing- resistant strength and if the thickness is thicker than 1.5mm, the lightening effect is lessened. If the volumetric content ratio of fiber is lower than 25%, since the volume of the reinforcing fiber is lessened, a specified strength can not be obtained. When the thickness is increased to obtain a specified strength, the lightening effect can not be obtained. The thickness of the FRP sheet is most preferable in the range of 0.3-0.8mm and the volumetric content ratio of fiber is preferable in 30-60%.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sufficient dispersion and impregnating ability of a fiber in molding while productivity is excellent by a method wherein a reinforced fiber bundle in which a single yarn is extended in one direction is coated with thermoplastic resin of at least specific value melt viscosity. SOLUTION: After coating a reinforced fiber bundle of at most 200Pa.s melt viscosity wherein a single yarn is extended in one direction on a carbon fiber bundle to which polyurethane as a sizing agent is stuck by about 2wt.%, a pellet of about 30wt.% carbon fiber content is obtained. Thereby, while productivity is excellent, sufficient dispersion and impregnating ability of a fiber in a molded product can be obtained.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform high-efficient and smooth pressurization and heating of a composite material, by a method wherein a roll for pressing a composite material and a heater for locally heating the composite material are mounted to a part of a traverse mechanism. CONSTITUTION:After a composite material 11 from a creel and the like is carried through a guide roll 61 of a support frame 60 mounted to a traverse head 5, it is pressed against a mandrel 1 by a pressure roll 6 with the aid of a press means 8, and is wound as it is traversed. In this case, The composite material 11 right before a pressure position allowing it to be pressed by the pressure roll 6 is locally heated to temperature being higher than a melt point of matrix resin by means of a heater 7 for local heating mounted to a support frame 60 through an arm 70. The composite material is pressed by means of the pressure roll 6, the composite material of a layer wound around the mandrel 1 is thermally fused to the composite material 11 of a new layer, and moulding is effected simultaneously with winding. This constitution enables high-efficient and smooth pressurization and heating of the composite material, and improves productivity of moulding of the composite material.
