    Abstract: PURPOSE: To meter and distribute precision volume of fluid from a plurality of output ports formed continuously on a metering pump piston, and balance the fluid discharged from the plurality of output ports irrelative of pressure difference in a working chamber of the piston. CONSTITUTION: Speed of rotation of a rotary piston is controlled when the rotary piston of a metering pump cycles sequentially from an input port of a pump to a first output port, a second output port and again the input port repeatedly. The angular position of the piston is monitored and signal is generated in correspondence with the movement to the selected angles of rotation of the piston. Enable signal is produced for generating pump cycle. The pump piston rotates in a first direction at a first controlled speed in correspondence with the enable signal. A second control signal is generated in correspondence with a monitor signal and the speed of rotation of the piston is changed into a second controlled speed.

CONSTITUTION: This gastrostomy forming tube has a triangular holding element of which the top points are rounded and also has three elastic petaloid flanges 27, 28, 29 extending in a diameter direction. The petaloid flanges 27, 28, 29 and a tube body 21 are made of differenet materials. Substantially, triangular connection points are present between the connection points of the petaloid flanges. The petalloid flanges are made low in flexibility as compared with the connection points by changing a material or thickness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To keep a sensor for detecting an in-blood gas in a sterilized atmosphere, and insert the sensor and its signal line through a catheter. CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a cylindrical housing 22 to the tip of which a catheter 14 is connected, and its inside is kept in a sterilized atmosphere, and a medical equipment is stored therein. After the catheter 14 is connected to the tip of the housing 22, the device can be moved through the catheter 14. An externally deflecting flexible sleeve 34 is stored in an annular space between the housing 22 and a signal line 16, a sensor 12 is placed in the sterilized atmosphere, and when a medical equipment is advanced from the housing 22 to the catheter 14, a sleeve 34 is folded by itself to keep the sterilized atmosphere. When a non-sterilized part of the signal line 16 is inserted in the housing 22 as the signal line 16 is introduced into the housing 22, the sleeve 34 is not polluted through the sterilized atmosphere in the housing 22 is polluted.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a sensor for watching the flow state of the liquid of a positive displacement pump. CONSTITUTION: A positive displacement pump 3 is provided with an inlet cracking valve 46 and an outlet cracking valve 52 disposed on opposite sides of a plunger 48 used to displace fluid by compressing flexible tube 34. The outlet cracking valve is closed by a cracking pressure compressing the flexible tube until the pressure of the liquid displaced by the plunger exceeds a cracking pressure and the outlet cracking valve is opened and the liquid can be streamed out from the positive displacement pump when the pressure of the liquid exceeds the cracking pressure. Meantime, a flow detector consisting of a strain gauge installed on the elastic body for cracking responds to the stress generated in the elastic body and the signal indicative of liquid flow from the pump is produced.
