Abstract:
하나의 프레임이 2 개의 필드로 이루어진 비월주사방식의 영상 신호로부터 순차주사방식의 영상 신호를 얻기 위한 순차주사화 방법이 개시된다. 순차주사화 방법은, j-1번째 영상 라인 중 N 개의 화소들을 포함하는 상위 벡터를 선택하고, j+1 영상 라인 중 N 개의 화소들을 포함하는 하위 벡터를 선택하는 단계를 포함한다. 상기 상위 벡터 내의 화소들 간의 관계 및 상기 하위 벡터 내의 화소들 간의 관계에 근거해서 가중치가 구해진다. 상기 선택된 상위 벡터, 하위 벡터 그리고 상기 가중치로부터 에지 방향이 선택된다. 그리고, 선택된 에지 방향에 근거해서 j번째 영상 라인에 속하는 화소가 보간된다.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A device and a method for classifying an image are provided to minimize color distortion when applying automatic white balance to an input image. CONSTITUTION: An image converting unit(10) converts an input image into a YCbCr space. An image dividing unit(20) divides the converted image into n x m block units. An image type determining unit(30) detects the number of blocks with color variation. If the number of blocks are lower than a fixed threshold value, the image type determining unit determines the input image as a single color image.
Abstract:
PURPOSE: A method for controlling white balance is provided to minimize distortion of a color in an image photographed in a single color background. CONSTITUTION: An image which is a white balance object is inputted(S2). A plurality of input pixels is converted into a digital color space(S3). Respective color sections of the converted input pixels are determined(S4). A conversion matrix is determined according to the determined color section(S5). The second color table(R'G'B') is generated by applying the determined conversion matrix according to a color section of the first color table(S6).

PURPOSE: A high definition image reconfiguration method is provided, which chooses the limit least square method, varies a normalization parameter according to existence and nonexistence of a movement prediction error into a regularization function, enhances a regularization function to a noises square sum term, and minimizes a noises caused by a motion estimation error. CONSTITUTION: Based on a reference image, a relative global motions of a low-resolution images is presumed(120). If the estimated global motion does not satisfy a critical condition, a relative local motions of the rest low-resolution images is presumed(130,140). If the estimated local motions satisfies the critical condition, the estimated local motions is reflected in the global motion(150,160). A best high-resolution image is gained through a reconfiguration of a repetitive high definition image(200).

PURPOSE: A GUI display method according to the contact pattern of a user and a device with the same are provided to display a GUI(Graphic User Interface) which is suitable to a hand of a manipulating user by displaying the GUI according to the location of a finger of the user. CONSTITUTION: A tactile sensor unit(110) senses the contact of a user. A display unit(132) display a GUI. A control unit(140) receives a tactile sensing signal from the tactile sensor unit. The control unit determines the contact pattern of a user according to the tactile sensing signal. The control unit controls the display unit in order to display the GUI corresponding to the determined contact pattern.
Abstract:
A faulty pixel and noise clearing method is provided to estimate a noise level by using the average of an image, determine and clear a faulty pixel, and remove the thermal noise of an image sensor, thereby obtaining an image of higher quality. The average of an extracted image is calculated(120). A first threshold value for judging the dispersion of noise and the existence of a faulty pixel and a second threshold value for calculating the weight value of a pixel are estimated from the average(130). The faulty of each pixel is determined(140). Weighted signal average and weighted signal dispersion are calculated by using the weight value of each pixel(150). The noise of an image is removed by using the dispersion of the noise, the weighted signal average, and the weighted signal dispersion(160).
Abstract:
A dynamic range extension method and apparatus are provided to reduce operation quantity and process an input image as post-processing, thereby extending a dynamic range. In the input of an image, the input image is classified into luminance and color information(S403). Gamma correction and inverse gamma correction are applied to the luminance information(S405). The image applying the gamma correction and the inverse gamma correction are divided. Dispersion at the divided arbitrary area is compared. The dynamic range of the input image is expanded by taking selectively the area of an image having a big value according to the comparison(S407).
Abstract:
A method for removing a blur to eliminate a ringing-artifact is provided to process an image by using algorithm of small processing power to reduce a ringing artifact frequently occurring during an image processing process, thereby effectively removing a blur of an image. A blur is detected from an inputted image. An image is divided according to the amount of the detected amount of blurs(110). High pass filtering is respectively performed in vertical and horizontal directions of the divided images(112). A weight value corresponding to each direction is detected by using a corresponding coefficient of each direction through the filtering(114). An image is recovered by applying the detected weight to image recovery of an iterative type or a closed type.

An electronic device is provided to facilitate the operation whereby the operation signal can be inputted at the same time that an external device is connected to the external device connection terminal. An electronic device comprises an electronic device body(110) in which an external device connection terminal and a plurality of control keys are provided, an external device operation unit(120) which surrounds the connection terminal and is movable to two or more locations, and a main control unit controlling the external device operation unit and the operation signal inputted through the control keys. The external device operation unit includes an operation part which is manipulated as surrounding the connection terminal, a switch operated with the operation part, and a circuit board in which the connection terminal and the switch are installed in order to exchange signals so that the signal is delivered to the main control unit.

A liquid crystal display and the control method is provided to minimize motion blur and flickering by driving the liquid crystal display with the impulsive type. A liquid crystal panel includes a plurality of pixels and a data driver(500) supplying a data signal to pixel. A signal control unit(700) receives the original gradation signal from outside and supplies the correction gray scale signal to data driver. A first and second correction gray scale signal is supplied to the region where the difference of the original gradation value and the correction gray scale signal at the nth frame and(n+2)th frame is lower than the predetermined value, and third correction gray scale signal is higher than the set value. The first correction gray scale signal is applied to the n-th frame and(n+1)th frame, and the second correction gray scale signal is applied to(n+2)th frame and(n+3)th frame, and the third correction gray scale signal is applied to the nth frame or(n+3)th frame so that pixel is operated in the impulsive type.
