    Abstract: A hydraulic linear engine dynamometer and an operating method for the same are provided to measure power of a linear engine by installing flow, pressure, and temperature sensors to an outlet of a hydraulic cylinder of the linear engine. A hydraulic linear engine dynamometer comprises an actuating fluid supply device part(10), a high pressure supply device part(20), a low pressure supply device part(30), a linear engine part(40), and a measuring device part(50). The actuating fluid supply device part has a switching hydraulic cylinder(15) with a switching valve. The high pressure supply device part includes a first high pressure line(21), a high pressure relief valve(22), a high pressure accumulator(23), a servo hydraulic cylinder(24), and second, third, and fourth high pressure lines(25,26,27). The low pressure supply device part includes a low pressure line(31), a low pressure relief valve(32), and first and second check valves(33,34). The linear engine part includes a linear engine hydraulic cylinder(41) having left and right chambers(43,44) at both sides on a piston(42), left and right combustion chambers(45,46), and solenoid valves(52). The measuring device part is installed with a measuring relief valve(53), a flow sensor(54), a pressure sensor(55), a temperature sensor(56), and a measuring accumulator(57).

    Abstract: PURPOSE: A piezoelectric generator is provided to use waste heat of an exhaust pipe of an automobile, thereby converting the waste heat into an electrical energy in maximum efficiency. CONSTITUTION: In a piezoelectric generator, a heat source portion(2) is formed with a heat transmitting pin(3) to transmit heat of an exhaust gas to high temperature end(4) of a piezoelectric module(9). The piezoelectric module(9) is formed with a Seebeck device to convert a thermal energy into an electrical energy by contacting to the high temperature end(4). A low temperature end(5) contacts with the piezoelectric module(9). A cooling portion(6) of a water cooling type is installed to pass the heat transmitted to the high temperature end(4) of the piezoelectric module(9).
