    Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling an electro-mechanical brake (EMB) vehicle which automatically initializes a control unit of an EMB before brake pedal signals are generated by sensing a driving volition of a driver and enables normal braking which allows a malfunction of the EMB during a drive. The present invention provides the method for controlling an EMB vehicle, which is characterized by including: a step of sensing and determining the driving volition of the driver; a step of starting the initialization of the EMB when the driving volition of the driver is recognized and determining whether EMB operation-possible signals are generated or not; a step of recognizing that an EMB control is possible when the EMB operation-possible signals are generated and determining whether an ECU of the EMB is malfunctioned or not; a step of determining whether a vehicle has stopped or not if any one EMB is malfunctioned then performing the normal braking by using the EMB which is not malfunctioned if the vehicle is being driven.

The hydraulic brake comprises a brake pedal(15) operated by driver's intention, a master cylinder(17) forming pressure according to a stepping force on the brake pedal, and a main solenoid valve(18) connected to the sub cylinder of the electronic brake through a hydraulic line(16a) and selectively switched on and off to control hydraulic pressure acing between the master cylinder and the sub cylinder.
