Abstract: A precharging control method for a hybrid vehicle is provided to reduce a precharging time by using a variable time of the optimized condition. A starting signal for driving a vehicle is recognized. A precharging relay is turned on. The precharging is initiated according to the rise of an inverter DC link voltage. Whether difference between the inverter DC link voltage and a main battery voltage is within a predetermined voltage is determined. If the voltage difference is within the predetermined voltage, the precharging is terminated. A main relay is turned on. If the voltage difference is not within the predetermined voltage, whether the precharging time exceeds the predetermined time is determined. If the precharging time exceeds the predetermined time, the precharging fault is generated.
