    Abstract: PURPOSE: A device for detecting and automatically supplementing failure of lamps is provided to safely drive a vehicle by detecting fail of lamps and making other lamps operated instead of the disabled lamps. CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting and automatically supplementing failure of lamps includes a failure-detecting circuit(14) and an automatic supplement circuit(12). The failure-detecting circuit is connected lamps of a lamp system(18) and switch through plural amplifiers, transistors, and resistance. The failure-detecting circuit is installed to an ETACS(Electronic Time and Alarm Control System)(10) to detect failure state of lamps through plural AND gates. The automatic supplement circuit lights other lamps instead of lamps of failure state by plural AND gates on the basis of failure signals transmitted from the failure-detecting circuit, and makes the other lamps take the place of the disabled lamps. The automatic supplement circuit is installed to the ETACS.

    Abstract: A low-voltage protection system of a DC-AC inverter of a vehicle and a driving method thereof are provided to detect a low-voltage state of a battery by generating an alarm signal, when a battery voltage is lower than a predetermined value. A low-voltage protection system controls a DC-AC inverter, when a battery voltage of a vehicle is low. Divided resistors(312,314) receive battery voltages and output divided voltages. A comparator(318) receives the divided voltage, compares the divided voltage with a low-voltage reference voltage, and outputs the compared result. A clock signal generator(324) supplies a clock signal to a transformer, which amplifies the battery voltage. The AND gates(320,322) perform an AND operation on the compared result and the clock signal and output the AND result.     Abstract: PURPOSE: An antitheft system for a vehicle is provided to prevent a vehicle theft by causing a powered seat to be moved forwardly toward a steering wheel of the vehicle to the highest degree and disabling a thief from driving the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: ETACS(Electronic Time Alarm Control System)(10) is installed. The ETACS is driven by voltage applied from a battery and controls inputted signals according to programmed conditions. The ETACS(10) contains a microcomputer for controlling opening/closing of a door, on/off of starting power and issuing a theft alarm. The ETACS(10) is programmed such that only a driver who has a remote controller(TX) in which a secret code identical to that stored in the ETACS(10) is stored, is capable of opening/closing the door and turning on/off the starting power. An internal circuit of the ETACS(10) includes a transistor that is operated by receiving locking or unlocking signals from the remote controller(TX). An external circuit of the ETACS(10) includes a relay portion(20) and a powered seat motor controlling portion(30) that are operated by receiving the input signals of the internal circuit. The ETACS(10) is set such that when the doors are locked by the remote controller(TX), the powered seat motor is driven, and thereby the powered seat is moved forwardly toward a steering wheel by the control of the ETACS(10).
