Abstract:
The invention relates to a hollow body with a capacity of at least 250 ml, the casing of which consists of polystyrene and is produced by injection stretch blow moulding. The invention also relates to the method of producing this hollow body and to the use of the hollow bodies.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to novel polymers ("polymer (P1)") obtainable by a process comprising the steps a) to c). According to step a), a polymer (P2) is provided. The polymer (P2) is obtainable by polymerization of a first dicarboxylic acid (A1) with a first diol (D1). Said polymer (P2) is hydrolyzed in step b) with a second diol (D2) in order to obtain a hydrolyzed polymer (P3). Afterwards, the hydrolyzed polymer (P3) is reacted with a second dicarboxylic acid (A2) which is different to the first dicarboxylic acid (A1), in order to obtain said polymer (P1). The present invention further relates to a process for obtaining such a polymer (P1). Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of such a polymer (P1) within, for example, fabric and home care products. Another subject-matter of the present invention are fabric and home care products as such, containing such a polymer (P1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing polymers containing S-vinylthio alkanols as monomers by way of radical polymerization, wherein the polymerization is carried out in aqueous solution with the proviso that no N-vinylpyrrolidone is used as a monomer for producing the polymers, and polymers produced according to such a method. Copolymers consisting of S-vinyl-2-thio-ethane-1-ol and one or several ethylenically unsaturated monomers selected from the group consisting of acrylic acid, itaconic acid, maleic acid, maleic acid anhydride, and vinylphosphonic acid mixtures, preferably aqueous compositions containing polymers or copolymers. Use of polymers, co-polymers, or of aqueous compositions as plasticizers for concrete, wetting agents, in cosmetics, as an adhesive component, in emulsion polymerization, for metal surface treatment, in coating applications, in paints, in washing agents, in rinsing agents, as encapsulation material, or as a sheathing material.
