    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent breakdown of hardware or stored data in an IC card by providing a device to warn the user when physical stress beyond a specified level is detected. CONSTITUTION:Stress sensors 202, 202 are fixed inside the enclosures 205, 205 on the front and rear of an IC card using an adhesive. The stress sensor 202 is composed of piezoelectric elements which generate an electric signal at a voltage proportional to a distortion applied, if the card is bent on the front or rear. A stress detection circuit 105 compares an output from the stress sensor 202 with a specified reference value to drive a buzzer 106. In this way, a warning is sounded that an excess stress is applied to the card. The threshold value of the stress detection circuit 105 is determined on the maximum stress applied to the card which is premeasured.

CONSTITUTION:An address of an opposite terminal equipment desired to confirm the state is dialed from an input section 105 and a command representing the desired confirmation of the communication state is entered from a keyboard of the input section 105, then the communication procedure as telephone communication is established and the talking state is reached. A terminal equipment receiving the command detects address information from the sent data and retrieves an address area 301 of the communication state table 101 and reads out the value of a status area 302 corresponding to the coincident address. Then a voice information code corresponding to the normal end is extracted from a ROM 103 and outputted to a data conversion section 102.

Namely, a means to identify a first condition at the time of calling one-to-one communications to the telephone set connected to the S or T interface of an integrated digital service network(ISDN) and a second condition to call simultaneously the telephones plurally connected to the interface is provided. An incoming call side telephone set identifies that the calling is either of the first condition or the second condition, and the incoming call displaying in the sound different in accordance with it or the different visible condition is executed. Thus, the efficiency use of the line can be performed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To speed up processing required for from reading to encoding, even when the reading is executed to one picture element according to plural components information by encoding information for each read component by an encoding means almost simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:Video data (video R, G, B and BK) to correspond to respective colors are sent from a color scanner 100 for each line of an original picture synchronously with respective line synchronizing signals. For example, concerning red R, a controller 148 executes compressing and encoding with a prescribed algorithm while an R encoding part 106 takes in red/not red data with the timing of a video clock. Then, the data are accumulated through a signal line 110 to an R transmission memory 118. The encoding is samely executed by a same order concerning another chrominance component and data are respective accumulated to an exclusive G transmission memory 119, a B transmission memory 120 and a BK transmission memory 121. Namely, encoding parts 106-109 are provided for each chrominance component. Then, since the encoding parts can be simultaneously and parallely operated, the processing from the reading to the encoding can be executed at the high speed even when reading one picture element according to the plural component information.

The mail (message) consists of an envelope 5 and a content 6 (text), the MHS host 3 analyzes the envelope of the message and sets a designated value to the storage period if the storage period is designated. When no storage period is designated, whether or not the mail is a fast delivery mail is checked and the number of simultaneous deliveries is analyzed, and the optimum storage period is decided by the result of analysis and the storage period of the message is managed based on the obtained storage period.

The safety distance is a distance from the present write address in a picture memory 10 to the address of the data described on the beginning of the page on which the data of the present write address data is printed and a distance within which the received data is written while the printer 200 executes printing.

CONSTITUTION:A loop 30 is provided in a facsimile device 6 at the reception side so that a picture data or other information received by the facsimile device 6 is returned to the facsimile device 1 thereby constituting the system that the entire operation including the exchange network comprising the facsimile devices 1-6 is checked by the facsimile device 1. The transmission is commanded from an operation panel 40 at normal transmission, a reader 41 reads an original and the picture data is stored in a picture memory 44 by using the control section 43. When the storage of picture data for a prescribed amount, e.g., one original's share is finished, the data is read from the picture memory via the control section 43, and after the result is coded by a coding/recoding circuit 45, the data is transmitted from a communication control section 46 according to the procedure of packet.
