Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a water supply unit in which internal contamination of a water supply pump can be confirmed from the outside and the water supply pump can be removed easily from the tank. SOLUTION: The water supply unit comprises a water storage tank 12 having an opening applied with a cover, a water supply tank 16 having a screw wheel 20 for imparting kinetic energy to water in the tank 12, and a drive section 17 secured to the tank 12 and rotating the screw wheel 20. Since the shell of the water supply tank 16 is made transparent and held by a member of the tank 12 other than the cover so that the water supply tank 16 can be fixed removably to the tank 12 without removing the cover, internal contamination of the water supply pump 16 can be confirmed visually without dismantling the water supply pump 16 and the water supply pump 16 can be cleaned at an appropriate time. Furthermore, dismantling work is simplified and cleaning work is facilitated because the cover is not required to be removed from the tank 12 at the time of cleaning the water supply pump 16 but only the water supply pump 16 is required to be removed from the tank 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel friction and creaking sounds generated by an ice tray and ice, and at the same time, to prevent ice from cracking, when the ice is to be separated from the ice tray for discharging. SOLUTION: The automatic ice-making machine is composed of a driving gear that is rotated by a stepping motor 12, an output gear 122 that is composed in one piece with an output shaft 14 for driving an ice ray 1, and a transmission means that changes gear ratio, according to the angle of rotation of the driving gear for transmitting the rotary force of the driving gear to the output gear 122. In this case, when the output gear 122 is rotated by the transmission means with a relatively low speed and high torque, ice in the ice tray 1 is separated from the ice tray 1 by giving a twist, thus preventing generation of friction and creaking sounds, and cracking of the ice.

According to the arrangement, two modes of close/close and open/open can be realized when the motor 108 is turned in one direction and other two modes of close/open and open/close can be realized when the motor 108 is turned in the other direction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a sanitary water supply system, in which generation of fur is eliminated and there is less soaking of odor, by directly supplying water from a water storage tank to an ice making pan by means of a positive displacement pump. CONSTITUTION:A suction pipe 7 for sucking water from a water storage tank 4 is connected to a pump suction port 6 of a positive displacement pump 5, and a discharge pipe 7' for discharging water to an ice making pan 3 of an ice making machine 2 is connected to a discharge port 8 of the positive displacement pump 5 whereby the pump suction port 6 of the discharge displacement pump 5 is positioned below the pump and the discharge port 8 is positioned above the pump. Gears in the positive displacement pump 5 are shaped to be tapered such that no recessed portions are provided on thrust surfaces of the gears or recessed portions are embedded therein. Therefore, water can be directly supplied from the tank not through a water receiving pan or the like, so that water service can be obtained in a sanitary manner since there is not fear of fur and odor in a housing being shifted to water and there are not produced any remnants of water. Further, the use of measures for correcting warpage caused during molding in a gear casing and a cover which are formed of a resin reduces a possibility that an amount of water supplied varies widely.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide an overcurrent protective apparatus which is easy to be assembled and has strong force to part the welding of contact points by inserting a second thermally actuating element which carries out snapping action between a first thermally actuating element and a first base. CONSTITUTION:Load current flows a circuit composed of a spring terminal 23, a heater 25, a heater terminal board 24, a second bimetal plate 26, a fixed contact point plate 15, a first bimetal plate 18, and a fixed contact point plate 14. When the current becomes overcurrent and the temperature of the bimetal plate 18 becomes the set value or higher, the bimetal plate is inverted and the circuit is opened. When reciprocal action is repeated and contact welding occurs and the current flows continuously, the heat is transmitted to the second bimetal plate 26 and inverse action is carried out. In this way, the bimetal plate 18 is pushed up and the contact point where the welding occurs is forcedly parted and the circuit can be opened. By setting the returning temperature of the bimetal plate 26 to be low, the circuit can be kept OFF state.
