Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent polymer deposition on the inner wall or a like area of a polymerization tank, by providing the lower part of the tank with a gas dispersing perforated plate of a special structure. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst suspension is fed from a pipe 1 via a heater 2, wherein the liquid medium is evaporated, to a polymerization tank V. On the other hand, an olefin-containing gas is fed from an inlet conduit 5 to the polymerization tank V and then introduced from a gas blowing section 15 to a zone 4 for a fluidized bed formation through a gas dispersing perforated plate 6 having an open area rate of 0.1-10%, and having through-holes each of which is tapered so that the hole diameter of an opening 17 on the side of the blowing section 15 is smaller than that of an opening 16 on the side of the zone for fluidized bed formation and then polymerized while forming a fluidized bed. The unreacted gas is separated from fine polymer powder in a cyclone 8, passed via a pipe 10 and a cooler 11 to a blower 12, wherein the gas pressure is increased, and recirculated to the blowing section 15. The fine polymer powder is returned from a pipe 9 to the polymerization tank V. The polymer formed is withdrawn from a pipe 14 via a control valve so that the level of the fluidized bed is kept constant.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer having a high bulk density and good powdery fluidity with a slight amount of fine powder, by discharging a polymer from a mixing type polymerizer, reacting a high-speed gas stream on the polymer, accompanying the fine powdery polymeric component with the gas stream, and circulating the stream through the polymerizer. CONSTITUTION:In carrying out the continuous vapor-phase polymerization of an olefin in a mixing type polymerizer, a polymer is discharged from the polymerizer, and a high-speed gas stream is made to act on the polymer to accompany the fine powdery component in the polymer with the gas stream and circulate the polymeric component through the polymerizer. In the process, the fine powdery component is made to accompany the gas stream in a minimal amount preferentially at a good classifying efficiency. For example, the polymer is taken out to a vertical container having a diameter (1/14)-(1/5) that of the polymerizer, and the gas is blown from the bottom at a velocity of 40-1,000cm/ sec. The gas stream containing the fine powdery component is circulated through the polymerizer from the top. Preferably, 0.1-50wt% polymer discharged from the polymerizer is circulated therethrough.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject film for foods package, comprising a respectively specific crystalline polypropylene and the copolymer, having excellent transpar ency and excellent in low temperature-drawing property, low temperature heat- shrinking property and blocking-resistant property. SOLUTION: This film comprises a polypropylene composition containing (A) 50-95 pts.wt. of a crystalline polypropylene with a melt index of 0.1-20 and (B) 5-50pts.wt. of a propylene- and 1-butene random copolymer and is drawn in at least one direction of longitudinal and transverse directions. The component B contains 50-95 mole % of a constitution unit deriving from propylene and 5-50 mole % of a constitution unit deriving from 1-butene, and possesses a limiting viscosity of 0.1-12dl/g which is measured in decaline at 135 deg.C, a molecular weight distribution of more than 3 which is obtained by get permeation chromatography and a parameter B value of 1.0-1.5 indicating a random property of copolymerization monomer chain distribution. Moreover, in order to obtain the component B, it is preferable to carry out copolymerization in the presence of a catalyst for olefin polymerization containing a transition metal compound, e.g. rac-dimethylsilylene-bis[1-(2,7-dimethyl-4-ethylidenyl]-zirconium dichloride or the like.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a polypropylene composite film which has an excellent heat sealability, hot tackiness, slipping properties and blocking resistance by forming a crystalline polypropylene layer, and specific polypropylene composition layer laminated at least on one side surface of the crystalline layer. CONSTITUTION: The polypropylene composite film comprises a crystalline polypropylene layer and a polypropylene composition layer laminated at least on one side surface of the crystalline layer. The composition is prepared from 5 to 50wt.% of crystalline polypropylene containing 90mol% or more of a unit derived from propylene, and 95 to 50wt.% of propylene-1-butene random copolymer. The copolymer preferably contains 50 to 95mol% of the unit derived from the propylene, and 5 to 50mol% of the unit derived from the 1-butene, and that which has 0.1 to 5dl/g of critical viscosity measured at 135 deg.C in decalin is used.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a polypropylene biaxially oriented composite film which has an excellent transparency, scratch resistance, blocking resistance, slipping properties, heat sealability, and hot tackiness. CONSTITUTION: A polypropylene biaxially oriented composite film comprises a biaxially oriented crystalline polypropylene layer and a propylene-1-butene random copolymer layer in such a manner that the copolymer contains 5 to 50mol% of 1-butene constituent unit, critical viscosity is 0.1 to 5dl/g, a molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) is 3 or less, and B value is 1.0 to 1.5 or preferably 1.0 to 1.3. Further, its melting point is 60 to 140 deg.C, and the 1-butene constituent unit content satisfies a specific relation formula with the melting point or the crystallizability. The copolymer can be manufactured by using specific metallocene catalyst.

Component B is an elastomer having a specified molecular structure in which the triad tacticity and stereoregularity of a propylene chain composed of head-to-tail bonds are high, and prepared by copolymerizing 50-95mol% propylene with 5-50mol% 1-butene or ethylene in the presence of a catalyst, e.g. a combination of a metallocene compound represented by the formula (wherein M is a group IVa, Va or VIa transition metal; R and R are each H, halogen, a hydrocarbon group or the like; R is a 3-20C alkyl or an aromatic group; R is H or a 1-20C alkyl; X and X are each H, a halogen, a 1-20C hydrocarbon or the like; and Y is a 1-20C hydrocarbon group or the like especially desirably an alkylsilylene or the like) with an organoaluminumoxy compound.

CONSTITUTION:The objective peelable protection film is produced from a composition composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a propylene.1-butene random copolymer having a melt index of 0.1-100g/10min, a propylene content of 60-85mol% and a heat of crystal melting of 20-80Joule/g by DSC and (B) 6-50 pts.wt. of a propylene.ethylene.alpha-olefin copolymer having a propylene content of 50-80mol%, an ethylene content of 3-25 mol%, a 4-10C alpha-olefin content of 10-40mol% (the sum of the contents is 100mol%), an intrinsic viscosity of 0.1-3dl/g (in decalin at 135 deg.C) and a crystallinity of 5-40% determined by X-ray diffraction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a packaging member which is superior in low-temperature heat seal property, having less dependency of heat seal strength on heat seal temperatures and superior readiness to open, with no formation of a seal layer remaining on a separating surface, by forming a heat sealant in a specific structure by polyethylene, polypropyrene and ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A packaging member which is easy to open employs a resinous compound containing 30-85wt.% polyethylene of the density 0.91-0.94g/cm , 5-40wt.% polypropyrene and 10-40wt.% low-crystalline or non-crystalline ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer as a material for at least one side of a heat seal surface of resinous packaging material. The above resinous compound may be used as a material for both sides of the heat seal surface. However, it is more preferable to use the resinous compound as a material for one side to be heat-sealed with a resin packaging material at the other side. Although polypropyrene is suitable for the resin packaging material at the other side, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene or other resin may be employed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To carry out the titled polymerization stably without formation of lumps or deposition of polymer on the wall, by performing the vapor-phase polymerization reaction under conditions in which the gas flow rate is high, the polymer entrained in the discharged gas is collected in a cyclone and the collected polymer is returned to the polymerization zone. CONSTITUTION:Into the side of the upper portion of a tower type polymerizer 1 is supplied a catalyst from a pipe 11, and into the bottom of the tower is introduced at a high flow rate an olefin-containing gas consisting of a recirculated gas from a pipe 14 and a fresh gas from a pipe 15. The olefin-containing gas having passed a perforated plate 8 floates and fluidizes the olefin polymer and contacts with the catalyst to form a polymer. Here, the rate of gas rising through the tower 1 is at least ten times the minium rate for fluidization. The unreacted gas component discharges from the overhead 12 of the tower. The polymer entrained therein is collected in a cyclone 2 and returned to the polymerizer 1 through a rotary valve 3. The gas component leaving the cyclone is cooled in a cooler 4 and pressurized by a blower 5 and recirculated to the polymerizer 1. The amount of polymer in the polymerizer is kept constant by continuously withdrawing the polymer through valves 6 and 7.
