    Abstract: PURPOSE:To detect without fail an end point in a flattening method in manufacture of semiconductor devices by forming a flattened film containing carbon on a silicon nitride film, and detecting by the use of CN spectrum a time when a stepped surface is exposed upon etching. CONSTITUTION:First, a silicon nitride film 16 if formed on a stepped portion, over the whole surface of which a flattened film 12 and a resist film 17 are formed. Then, those films are etched while monitoring CN spectrum. A point 'A' indicates the starting point of the etching, and the intensity of the CN spectrum is steeply increased at a point 'B'. This is because only the layer 17 is first etched, but when the film 16 is exposed, CN gas is produced. Further, with the etching continued, the surface area of the film 16 is saturated to provide the intensity at a point 'C', and the area of the film 16 is reduced to result in the reduced intensity. At a point 'D', where the strength is sufficiently reduced, the silicon nitride film 16 is removed to permit a silicon oxide film 15 to be exposed. At the point 'D', the etching is judged to be completed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the breakdown of a row and overall data under writing by producing an address signal every period which is integer times as long as the working cycle time of a dynamic RAM and shorter than the time width equivalent to each horizontal scan period and at the same time fetching the video signal CONSTITUTION:A horizontal gate signal HG is produced every arrival of a horizontal synchronizing signal HD in a reproduced video signal, and the rise and fall of the signal HG is synchronous with the timing clock pulse of a memory which regulates the 1-cycle time which is needed for writing to a cell of a dynamic RAM. In other words, the pulse duration TGO of the signal HG is set at an integer-fold value of the 1-cycle time. The horizontal address signal is applied to a memory 12 only in the period of TGO to fetch the video data. Therefore the memory 12 fetches no video data in a period T1 up to the rise of the signal HG as well as a period T2 from the rise of the signal HG through the next horizontal synchronizing signal respectively. In addition, the termination of the signal HG is selected before the lapse of a horizontal scan period TH.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain right and left circular polarized wave reception output easily, by providing two orthogonal output probes on a circular waveguide and applying the output obtained at this output probe to a directional coupler. CONSTITUTION:An output received on a reception antenna 18 is given to a circular waveguide 15 to obtain a vertical component SV for an output probe 16 and a horizontal component SH for an output probe 17, which are applied to a directional coupler (3 dB coupler) 19. In the coupler 19, a signal applied to one or other input terminal is summed with a signal of other or one input terminal with phase shift by pi/2 to obtain outputs as one and other outputs SA and SB. Thus, a reception output is obtained for the output SA only to a right circular polarized wave of transmitted electromagnetic waves and the reception output is obtained only for the output SB to the left polarized wave. Then, the outputs SA and SB thus obtained are applied to SHF-UHF converters 22, 23 respectively through amplifiers 20, 21, and the UHF output signals are obtained at output terminals 24, 25.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily and firmly eliminate a dispersal signal, by detecting the dispersal signal from information signals, superpasing this detected signal on a selecting signal by modulating the signal to a local oscillation signal and mixing the modulated local oscillation signal and a arrived signal. CONSTITUTION:A video signal including a dispersed signal outputted from a video amplifying circuit 21 is inputted to a clamp circuit 22 and at the same time, peak value is detected by a peak detection circuit 25 by phase-inverting a vertical synchronizing signal by an inversion circuit 24. Furthermore, the dispersal signal of delta wave is outputted in accordance with a vertical synchronizing signal sent from the curcuit 25 in a dispersal singnal detection circuit 26. This dispersal signal is fed to a local oscillation circuit 15 by superposing it on a selecting signal sent from a selecting circuit 27 and the local oscillation signal outputted from the circuit 15 is frequency modulated in the same direction as the dispersal signal. The frequency modulated local oscillation signal is added to a mixing circuit 14 and the dispersal signal inputted to the circuit 14 from a high frequency amplifying circuit 13 is eliminated.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To remove the ghost component of a horizontal synchronizing signal from a video signal accurately by a simply-constituted circuit, by enabling a subtraction circuit to subtract a composite signal by the ghost signal component read out from a memory circuit at every horizontal period. CONSTITUTION:A composite video signal inputted to terminal 10 is separated 11 into a luminance signal and chromaticity signal; the luminance signal component is sent to subtraction circuit 12 and also supplied to vertical and horizontal separator circuit 13 and gate circuit 14. Then, a vertical synchronizing signal is extracted from circuit 13 and a ghost signal component within one H period is extracted through monostable multivibrators 15 and 17 and then transmitted to memory circuit 20, where it is stored. Next, the ghost signal component is read out from circuit 20 at every horizontal period and supplied to subtrction circuit 12, where it is subtracted from the composite signal, so that the ghost component of the horizontal synchronizing signal can be removed accurately from the video signal by a simplyconstituted circuit.
