Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a new bulky textured yarn, having high levels of bulkiness, stretchability, stiffness, resiliency, a soft touch feeling, etc., especially a polyester false twist textured yarn suitable for a woolly woven or knitted fabric having fullness. CONSTITUTION: This false twist textured yarn is obtained by combining filament groups, comprising polyethylene terephthalate and having mutually different single filament deniers. At least one of the filament groups has 3-8 denier single filament size and comprises a high-polymerization degree polymer having 0.70-1.0 intrinsic viscosity and the other filament groups have 0.2-2 denier single filament sizes and comprise a low-polymerization polymer having 0.55-0.65 intrinsic viscosity. The difference in the intrinsic viscosity between both the filament groups is >=0.1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing ultrafine polyester filaments having sufficient mechanical properties and a sufficient thermal shrinkage constant, not having dyeing irregularity, and good in a soft property by a low cost one process method in good fiber productivity. CONSTITUTION:This method for spinning and drawing ultrafine polyester filaments having a single filament fineness of 1.4 denier comprises extruding a melted polyester from a spinneret 1, cooling and solidifying the extruded filaments, bundling the filaments at a position apart in a distance of (m) ((d) is the fineness of the finest single filament among the filaments) below the spinneret, taking up the filaments with a non-heated first godet roller 5 at a take-up rate of 2000-3500m/min without winding up the filaments, heating and drawing the filaments with a first thermally treating device 6 having a steam atmosphere of atmospheric pressure and set between the first godet roller 5 and a non-heated second godet roller, thermally treating the drawn filaments with a second thermal treating device 8, and subsequently winding up the filaments.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality and high polymerization degree polyester or polyamide of a low dispersion of quality within a short time by subjecting a polyester or a polyamide to solid-state polymerization in an atmosphere of a low temperature plasma. CONSTITUTION:A polyester or a polyamide is subjected to solid-state polymerization in an atmosphere of a low temperature plasma. Polymers to which the above polymerization process is applicable covers polyesters mainly consisting of repeating ethylene terephthalate or butylene terephthalate units and polyamides such as nylon 6, nylon 66 and nylon 46. The polyester or polyamide may be one containing a small amount (below 10wt.%) of a third component as a comonomer or/and additives. The intrinsic viscosity of the polyester to be subjected to the solid-state polymerization is desirably 0.5-0.8, and the relative viscosity of the nylon in sulfuric acid is desirably 2-4.
