    Abstract: PURPOSE:To solve such a problem that an acrylic fiber does not show enough reinforcing effect under autoclave aging conditions, and to offer a water hardening inorg. molded product and method for producing this product showing high strength and excellent dimensional stability by extrusion molding. CONSTITUTION:An acrylic fiber and a water hardening material essentially comprising cement and amorphous silicate are mixed, and extrusion molded and aged in an autoclave.     Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the subject reinforcing material homogeneously dispersed in and mixed with a matrix resin, a filler, etc., to exhibit excellent abrading characteristics by coating sulfur-containing acrylic flame-resistant fibers with a silicone treating agent. CONSTITUTION:Sulfur-containing acrylic flame-resistant fibers having excellent heat and wear resistances are coated with a silicone treating agent such as dimethylpolysiloxane having excellent heat resistance preferably in an amount of 0.5-2wt.%, cut, mixed with a matrix resin, any other filler, etc., and subsequently molded. Since the treatment of the fibers with the silicone treating agent permits the homogeneous dispersion and mixture of the abrading material with the matrix, the prepared molded product has excellent flexural strength and abrading characteristics, thereby being suitable as an alternate for asbestos.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled molded article having excellent chemical resistance, heat-resistance and flame-retardance, high tensile strength and electrical insulation property and useful as a material for electrical or electronic parts, by specifying the amount of bonded sulfur. CONSTITUTION:The objective molded article contains at least 0.1wt.% of bonded sulfur. It can be produced preferably, e.g., by heating a polyacrylonitrile molded article in a sulfur-containing atmosphere, thereby sulfurizing the article.
