Abstract:
Abstract:
Material for molding articles of a natural thermoplastic polymer is prepared by incorporating a natural filler coated or saturated with an additive in an extruder. The additive is added in powder form to the extruder and melts at a lower temperature than the polymer. The additive is a natural oil or wax and can also include bactericidal or flame retardant agents and a hardening binder.
Abstract:
A frame for a game racquet such as a tennis racquet is formed by helically winding a tow of filament material and thermoplastic material over an elongated mandrel to form a tube. The tube is positioned in a mold having the shape of a game racquet frame and auxiliary pieces for handle and yoke sections are added. This preform is heated to melt the thermoplastic while the interior of the tube is pressurized. The preform is then allowed to cool and harden to form the game racquet frame.
Abstract:
To produce moulded sections of the same wall thickness, using mixtures of cellulose and/or lignocellulose fibres with more than 20 wt.% of thermal bonding agent, the fibres are initially given a surface preparation to form a slightly compressed fibre matting in sections or as a web, before the bonding agent is applied. The material is heated at least pref. to the softening temp. of the bonding agent, and then compressed to a density for the duration of the crosslinking of the fibre preparation. The heated and compressed material is placed in a press mould at a lower temp. than the material, to be pressed into shape. The bonding material is pref. polypropylene fibres, and phenol resin is used for the fibre preparation. Polyurethane can also be used according to fibre type.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate molding apparatus and a method of manufacturing a substrate which can stop the substrate precisely at a predetermined position during carrying the substrate in a hung state. SOLUTION: The substrate molding apparatus carries a plate material made of a material containing plant fiber and a thermoplastic resin in a hung state and molds to a predetermined shape. It includes a hanger 30 holding the plate material by hanging and the first slide rail 58a extending along the direction of carrying the plate material. In the hanger 30, a roller 36 supporting the hanger 30 in a movable way is mounted on the first slide rail 58a. In the first slide rail 58a, engagement surfaces 61a and 61b regulating movement of the hanger 30 along the first slide rail 58a when engaged in the roller 36 are disposed.
