The invention relates to a cryptographic mechanism and to a cryptographic device incorporating such cryptographic mechanism. The cryptographic mechanism offers a better resistance to side channel attacks than that of known cryptographic mechanisms by incorporating a new type of masking mechanism.

L'invention concerne un procédé de réalisation dispositif comportant une antenne de transpondeur connectée à des plages de contact, ledit procédé comportant des étapes de : - fourniture ou réalisation d'une antenne (3) comportant des portions terminales (7b, 8b) de connexion reposant sur un substrat, - report des plages de contact (5, 6) sur le substrat et leur connexion aux portions terminales de l'antenne (7b, 8b) la connexion étant réalisée sous forme d'une soudure (38) par apport d'énergie entre les plages (5, 6) et les portions terminales (7b, 8b); Le procédé se distingue en ce que les plages (5, 6) sont reportées de manière à présenter une surface (40) en regard d'une portion terminale (7b, 8b) de connexion de l'antenne, ladite portion étant disposée sur le substrat (2, 2b, 2f), l'énergie de soudure étant appliquée directement sur les plages (5, 6)). The invention relates to a personal token (40) comprising logic for checking a PIN/password as transmitted from a user interface (10,12) and for blocking operation of the token (40) when a predetermined number of erroneous PIN/password attempts have been transmitted to the token (40), characterized in that it comprises an interpreting logic which performs a detection of an unconscious mishandling of the user interface (10,12) so that the token (10) avoids to count such unconscious mishandling of the user interface (10,12) as a said erroneous PIN/password attempt concurring to reaching the said predetermined number of erroneous attempts.

A rational number of Step of Time corresponding to a bit-duration is measured inside a received flow of bits. The oscillator signal φ(0) to j(2i-1) is transformed into a clock signal CK having active edges of said clock signal in phase with at least one oscillator signal φ(0) to φ(2i-1), two consecutive active edges being separated by a time duration proportional to the integer part of the number of Step of Time. A time delay is computed proportional to the fractional part of the number of Step of Time. The next active edge of the clock signal CK is delayed of said computed delay.

A smart card related application communicates with a smart card (or at least has access to smart card communications) via a smart card services component. A Method for tracing smart card communications is disclosed, the method comprising the replacement of the smart card services component by a modified smart card services component after the smart card related application is launched. A system comprising a tracer and implementing the aforementioned method is also disclosed.
