Abstract: improved two dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance imaging methods of the present invention are presented which comprises sensitizing a two dimensional slice of an object by standard procedures in a static magnetic field wherein the magnetization of the spins is transverse to the static field, applying a time varying magnetic field gradient to the sensitized two dimensional slice, detecting radiated electromagnetic energy from the two dimensional slice, and reconstructing spin information for each element within a slice from the detected radiated electromagnetic energy. In one aspect, the improvement is the use of an appropriate weighting function in the reconstruction to weight the detected radiation electromagnetic energy signals to compensate for the use of time varying magnetic field gradients that do not sample equal area elements of phase space in equal time intervals. In another independent aspect, almost any magnetic field gradient function may be used, that does not sample equal areas of phase space during equal time intervals, and a procedure defined by which spin information for equal areas of phase space is detected at unequal times. In yet another aspect, a uniquely specified class of time varying magnetic field gradient trajectories are defined which map equal area elements of two dimensional phase space in equal time intervals.

Abstract: A chewing gum is disclosed which is for cleaning and imparting a high degree of polish to the teeth; the chewing gum comprises a chewing gum base, at least one non-toxic source of acid in a particular amount, and calcined kaolin particles, the median diameter of which is approximately 2 micrometres or less, and substantially all of the particles being less than approximately 20 micrometres in diameter. Such a chewing gum cleans and imparts a high degree of polish to the teeth without unduly abrading or scratching them, When regularly chewed, such a gum, in addition to cleaning and polishing the dental enamel, can also inhibit the reformation of dental plaque.

Abstract: 1275249 Dental cement INDIANA UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION 31 July 1970 [2 Sept 1969] 37117/70 Heading C3N A dental cement comprises (A) a dental cement powder which comprises (a) sintered zinc oxide having a particle size of 2 to 10 microns; (b) not more than 0À5% magnesium oxide, by weight of the cement powder; and (c) 0À5-20% by weight of the cement powder of one or more of the following fluorine containing compounds: stannous fluoride, stannous hexafluorozirconate, indium fluorozirconate, zirconium hexafluorogermanite, zirconyl hexafluorofluorogermanite or indium hexafluorogermanate; and (B) phosphoric acid. The dental cement may further comprise 3-15% by weight of a tin oxide which assists in the sintering of the zinc oxide. The zinc oxide may be present in an amount 65-99À5% by weight of the powder. The zinc oxide is sintered at 1800-2500‹ F. and subsequently ground to the desired particle size.
