    Abstract: PURPOSE: A novel cyanine compound for labeling bio molecules and a method for preparing the same are provided to prevent by-product generation after binding of the dye and the bio molecules. CONSTITUTION: A cyanine compound is dented by chemical formula 1. The compound is labeled in a biomolecule, nanoparticles, or organic compounds. The biomolecule is protein, peptide, carbohydrate, sugar, fat, antibody, proteoglycan, glycoprotein, or siRNA. A method for preparing the compound comprises: a step of reacting a compound of chemical formula 4 with a compound of chemical formula 5 or 7 to prepare a compound of chemical formula 6a; a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 6a with a compound of chemical formula 8 to prepare a compound of chemical formula 9; a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 9 with a compound of chemical formula 6b to prepare a compound of chemical formula 10; a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 10 with 1,1'-carbonyldiimodazole or N,N-disuccinimidyl carbonate to prepare a compound of chemical formula 11a or 11b; and a step of reacting the compound of chemical formula 11a or 11b with a compound of chemical formula 12 under the presence of a Hunig base.
