Abstract: PURPOSE: A cosmetic composition containing Laminaria extract and calcium D-pantetheine-S-sulfonate is provided to reduce melanogenesis and neurotransmitter secretion and to maximize a whitening effect. CONSTITUTION: A cosmetic composition for skin whitening contains 0.1-10 weight% of laminaria extract and 0.1-10 weight% of pantethine derivative as an active ingredient. The pantethine derivative is calcium D-pantethine-S-sulfonate. The laminaria extract and calcium D-pantethine-S-sulfonate is mixed in a weight ratio of 1-9:9-1, respectively.
