PURPOSE: A composition for protecting liver, which containing red ginseng and Pueraria lobata Ohwi is provided to improve liver function without adding additional active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: A composition for protecting liver comprises crude extract of red ginseng, Pueraria lobata Ohwi extract, and vitamin complex containing vitamin C, vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and vitamin B6 as active ingredient. The crude extract is obtained by adding 0.7-3 v/v% of acetic acid and extracting at 80-100°C for two to three hours. The crude extract of the red ginseng and the Pueraria lobata Ohwi extract are mixed together in mixture ratio of 1:1.3-1.7.

The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating breast cancer, containing an Inula helenium fraction or a compound isolated therefrom as an active ingredient. More specifically, the present invention exhibits selective inhibitory effects on tyrosine phosphorylation activity of STAT3 in breast cancer cells and in a mouse in which breast cancer cells have been transplanted, effectively inhibits the expression of STAT3 target genes, effectively suppresses cancer metastasis, and effectively reduces the weight and volume of a tumor. Therefore, the Inula helenium fraction or the compound isolated therefrom can be effectively used as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating breast cancer, a composition for suppressing breast cancer metastasis, a functional health food for preventing and alleviating breast cancer, a functional health food for suppressing breast cancer metastasis, or an anticancer adjuvant.

DC. saponin fraction and platycodin of high content is provided to suppress adipocyte differentiation and to prevent and treat adipose metabolism. CONSTITUTION: A novel Platycodon grandiflorum A. DC. saponin fraction with enhanced drug efficiency contains 50.0-98.0(w/w)% of platycodon D, 0-35.0(w/w)% of platycodon E and 3.0-20.0(w/w)% of platycodon D3. A method for preparing Platycodon grandiflorum A. DC. saponin fraction comprises: a step of isolating Platycodon grandiflorum A. DC. extract by reverse phase resin, polystyrenes or ion exchange resin column to obtain Platycodon grandiflorum A. DC. saponin fraction; and a step of bio-conversing the fraction by enzyme. CONSTITUTION: A method for isolating and producing Platycodon grandiflorum saponin compound comprises: a first step of extracting Platycodon grandiflorum; a second step of fractioning the Platycodon grandiflorum extract through diaion column; and a third step of purifying platycodin D using HSCCC(High speed countercurrent chromatography).
