PURPOSE: A handphone having lowered absorption rate is provided to effectively reduce the emittance of electromagnetic wave toward a head of a user without spoiling the beauty or causing troublesome to the user by mounting an antenna within a case with a structure obtaining high antenna gain. CONSTITUTION: Various electronic elements are arranged on at least one circuit board mounted within a case(11) so that the elements can perform various functions including the transmission and receive of electric wave. An antenna(17) helps the transmission or receive through the electronic elements arranged on the circuit board. In this structure, the antenna(17) is disposed within the case(11). In addition, an electromagnetic wave absorber(16) is disposed between the circuit board and the antenna(17) so as to correspond to a portion of the antenna.

Abstract:
PURPOSE: An apparatus for reducing electromagnetic wave and a method for optimally designing the same are provided to minimize the human body absorbent rate of the electromagnetic wave by changing the thickness of a dielectric layer and the position of an antenna. CONSTITUTION: Metal cells(102) are formed on a dielectric layer which is arranged at the lower part of an antenna(104). The gaps and the sizes of the metal cells are adjusted to set a frequency band required for the reduction of electromagnetic wave. The number of the metal cells in a unit area is reduced by adjusting the gaps of the metal cells in order to reduce the human body absorbent rate of the electromagnetic wave.

PURPOSE: An arranging structure of an electromagnetic wave controlling structure is provided to improve a SI/PI and an EMI property by forming the electromagnetic wave controlling structure on a power plane and a ground plane in a multilayer PCB and a package structure. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic wave controlling structure is formed on a part of a power layer(265) or a ground layer(260). A rest of the power layer or the ground layer is used as a returning current route of a semiconductor device. A driver circuit(210) is connected to the power layer and the ground layer through a via(232). A signal wire(250) transfers the signal from the driver circuit to a load(220). A dielectric layer(270) is formed between the power layer and the grounding layer. An electromagnetic wave controlling structure blocks a transmission of a SSN generated from the dielectric layer.

PURPOSE: A resonant electric wave absorber is provided to simplify a manufacturing process using a structure of an electromagnetic band- gap and a resistive material. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic wave absorber includes periodically arranged unit cells(100). Each unit cell includes a ground layer(115), a dielectric layer(110) and a unit cell pattern(105). The ground layer is made of the metal conductor. The dielectric layer is formed on the ground layer. The unit cell pattern is formed on the dielectric layer. The unit cell pattern is made of resistive materials and includes a basic pattern and a semi-orthogonal dipole patch. The basic patch is positioned in the center of the unit cell pattern. The semi-orthogonal dipole patch is arranged in upper, lower, left, and right sides.
