Abstract: PURPOSE: A shift control method in fast off throttle operation of an automatic transmission is provided to improve shift responsiveness in reaccelerating by restricting unnecessary lift foot up shift and enhancing performance of the engine brake with deciding FOT(fast off throttle) differently according to high or low speed. CONSTITUTION: The return speed of a throttle position sensor is calculated in suddenly releasing an accelerator during traveling, and compared with the FOT condition(S100).
