Abstract: A piston ring structure of an internal combustion engine is provided to reduce the consumption of lubricating oil and the leakage of blow-by gas by reducing an adverse pressure gradient by maintaining the air-tightness of a combustion chamber during the compression stroke and making the flow of blow-by gas smoothly during the expansion stroke, and to make a second ring fulfill its own function without being adhered by a ring stick or carbon deposit. In a piston ring structure of an internal combustion engine, a convex surface(11a) and a concave groove are formed respectively on the top and the bottom of a second ring groove(11) to cross each other at the outer circumferential surface of a piston(10), and a concave groove(12a) corresponding to the convex surface and a convex surface corresponding to the concave groove are formed to form the same center on the top and the bottom of a second ring which is placed in the second ring groove to move vertically.
