Abstract:
A portable multifunction device identifies a plurality of user interface objects. If the user interface objects meet a first predefined condition, the device then displays at least two of the user interface objects on a touch screen display. If the user interface objects meet a second predefined condition, the device then divides the user interface objects into at least first and second groups of user interface objects and then displays a first group icon corresponding to the first group and at least one user interface object from the second group on the touch screen display. If the user interface objects meet a third predefined condition, the device divides the user interface objects into at least third and fourth groups of user interface objects. The device then displays a third group icon corresponding to the third group and a fourth group icon corresponding to the fourth group.
Abstract:
A portable electronic device for instant messaging is disclosed. One aspect of the invention involves a graphical user interface (GUI) on a portable electronic device with a touch screen display. The GUI has a set of messages exchanged between a user of the device and another person. The set of messages are displayed in a chronological order. In response to detecting a scrolling gesture comprising a substantially vertical movement of a user contact with the touch screen display, the display of messages are scrolled in accordance with a direction of the scrolling gesture. The detecting of the scrolling gesture is substantially independent of a horizontal position of the user contact with the touch screen display.
Abstract:
A computer system detects whether the user satisfies attention criteria with respect to a first user interface object displayed in a first view of a three-dimensional environment. In response to detecting that the user does not satisfy the attention criteria with respect to the first user interface object, the computer system displays the first user interface with a modified appearance. The computer system detects a first movement of a viewpoint of the user relative to a physical environment and detects that the user satisfies the attention criteria with respect to the first user interface object. In response, the computer system displays the first user interface object in a second view of the three-dimensional environment, including displaying the first user interface object with an appearance that emphasizes the first user interface object more than when the first user interface object was displayed with the modified appearance.
Abstract:
The method for web browsing on a portable device displays a web-browser user interface that includes a currently displayed webpage and an associated tab in a tab row. The currently displayed webpage forms part of a group of webpages. In response to receiving a swipe gesture, it is then determined that the swipe gesture occurs at a location corresponding to the associated tab in the tab row. In response to the swipe gesture occurs at a location corresponding to the associated tab, the currently displayed webpage is no longer displayed, and the tab row is scrolled to display an additional webpage and its associated additional tab. If, however, the swipe gesture occurs at a location on the currently displayed webpage, a webpage navigation function is performed.
Abstract:
While displaying a first view of a three-dimensional environment corresponding to a first viewpoint, a computer system detects a change in grip of a user's hand into a first predefined grip in conjunction with detecting a gaze input directed to a respective position in the three- dimensional environment. If the respective position is a first position, the computer system replaces the first view with a second view of the three-dimensional environment corresponding to a second viewpoint that is selected in accordance with the respective movement of the user's hand and the first position in the three-dimensional environment; and if the respective position is a second position, the computer system replaces the first view with a third view of the three-dimensional environment corresponding to a third viewpoint that is selected in accordance with the respective movement of the user's hand and the second position in the three-dimensional environment.
Abstract:
An electronic device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface receives notification(s) while the device is in a screen-off state. After receiving the notification(s), the device detects an input for waking the device to a screen-on state. In response, the device transitions to the screen-on state and displays the notification(s) on a wake screen user interface. The device further detects another input for dismissing the wake screen user interface and ceases to display the wake screen user interface. Afterwards, the device detects a third input for redisplaying the wake screen user interface. In response, upon determining that the third input meets notification-clearance criteria, the device redisplays the wake screen user interface without displaying at least one of the notification(s); and upon determining that the third input does not meet the notification-clearance criteria: the device redisplays the wake screen user interface and redisplays at least one of notification(s).
Abstract:
A device with a display and a touch-sensitive surface displays a user interface including a user interface object at a first location. While displaying the user interface, the device detects a portion of an input, including a contact at a location on the touch-sensitive surface corresponding to the user interface object. In response to detecting the portion of the input: upon determining that the portion of the input meets menu-display criteria, the device displays a plurality of selectable options that corresponds to the user interface object on the display; and, upon determining that the portion of the input meets object-move criteria, the device moves the user interface object or a representation thereof from the first location to a second location according to the movement of the contact.
Abstract:
In some embodiments, an electronic device presents media items from different media applications in a unified media browsing application. In some embodiments, an electronic device facilitates browsing of media from different media applications based on category of media (e.g., movies, television shows, etc.). In some embodiments, an electronic device facilitates setup of a unified media browsing application that presents media items from different media applications in a unified media browsing user interface. In some embodiments, an electronic device displays multiple episodes of a collection of episodic content (e.g., a television series) in a user interface for the collection of episodic content. In some embodiments, an electronic device displays representations of, and provides access to, live-event media items accessible on the electronic device.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for managing input mechanisms. In some examples, the electronic device transitions from a first mode into a second mode in accordance with a determination that the one or more characteristics of a user input detected via a second input mechanism of the electronic device meet a set of predefined criteria. In the first mode, a first input mechanism of the electronic device is disabled for user input. In the second mode, the first input mechanism of the electronic device is enabled for user input.
Abstract:
An electronic device, detects a first input while in a display-off state, and in response, the device activates the display of the device. The device further displays, a first user interface that corresponds to a display-on state of the device. While displaying the first user interface that corresponds to the display-on state of the device, the device detects a swipe gesture, in accordance with a determination that the device is in a locked mode of the display-on state and the swipe gesture is in a first direction, the device replaces display of the first user interface with display of a second user interface displaying a first content; and in accordance with a determination that the device is in an unlocked mode of the display-on state and the swipe gesture is in the first direction, the device replaces display of the first user interface with display of the second user interface.
