Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates managing display usage. In some embodiments, a device modifies various aspects of a displayed user interface as the device transitions from operating in a first device mode to operating in a second device mode. In some embodiments, the modifications involve altering the content included in a user interface and varying how the content is displayed.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to retrieving and displaying contextually-relevant media content. In some embodiments, a device receives a request to display contextually- relevant media and, in response, displays a representation of a collection of media items relevant to a context of the device. In some embodiments, a device displays a visual media item of a sequence of items and, in response to receiving a swipe gesture, displays a detail user interface comprising related content for the media item. In some embodiments, a device, while displaying a first detail user interface, displays an affordance corresponding to a plurality of individuals identified as having attended a first event, that when selected, causes display of visual media corresponding to a plurality of events attended by the individuals. In some embodiments, a device, in response to user input, obtains an automatically-generated collection of visual media and displays a corresponding affordance.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to navigating, viewing, and sharing activity and workout data and interacting with workout and/or activity applications. In some examples, scrolling of activity data is based on the content being displayed. In some examples, friends' activity data may be viewed. In some examples, a notification and workout data for a friend's completed workout is received and displayed. In some example, the activity data received from friends is viewed and managed. In some examples, workout data for a multi- segment workout is displayed in a three-dimensional stack on a map. In some examples, a workout application operates in a limited mode until a touch input is received with a characteristic intensity that is greater than a threshold intensity.
Abstract:
Context-specific user interfaces for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The methods described herein for context-specific user interfaces provide indications of time and, optionally, a variety of additional information. Further disclosed are non-transitory computer-readable storage media, systems, and devices configured to perform the methods described herein.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices can efficiently manage the displaying of text on a screen of a computing device. For example, a client application can provide a data objet for a particular style window on the screen. The data object can include a data item, comprising text data, one or more units specifying one or more portions of the text data to be displayed in the style window, and an identifier corresponding to a particular display function to be used in displaying the text data. The display function can be invoked to determine a potential text string to display based on the text data, the one or more units, and one or more rules corresponding to the particular display function. Additional text strings can be generated to obtain a text string that is shorter than or equal to a maximum length for the data item.
Abstract:
Systems and processes for manipulating a graphical user interface are disclosed. One process can include receiving user input through a crown to rotate a virtual object. The process includes selecting a surface of the object from among the multiple surfaces of the object in response to determining that the crown rotation exceeded a speed threshold.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to managing user interface sharing. A computer system receives a representation of a first user interface template that specifies an arrangement of user interface elements. The computer system receiving a request to use the first user interface template for a respective computer system that includes a plurality of installed applications. The computer system initiates a process for creating a user interface for the respective computer system using the first user interface template. The process includes, in accordance with a determination that a first application is not available on the respective computer system, displaying an alert indicating that the first application needs to be installed on the respective computer system. The process includes, in accordance with a determination that the first application is available on the respective computer system, forgoing displaying the alert.
Abstract:
The present disclosure generally relates to viewing and updating application views. A device receives a user input, the input, when received initiating display of a plurality of application views of a set of application views. The device, in response to receiving the user input, displays the plurality of application views of the set of application views, wherein the set of application views includes preselected application views and an adaptive view that corresponds to a most recently opened application that is not one of the preselected application views.
Abstract:
Exercise-based watch faces and complications for use with a portable multifunction device are disclosed. The methods described herein for exercise-based watch faces and complications provide indications of time and affordances representing applications (e.g., a workout application or a weather application). In response to detecting a user input corresponding to a selection of the affordance (e.g., representing a workout application), a workout routine can optionally be begun. Further disclosed are non-transitory computer-readable storage media, systems, and devices configured to perform the methods described herein, as well as electronic devices related thereto.
