Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide desired rigidity, and to provide excellent sealing performance without thickening the total thickness of a gasket by arranging a great part of a core material for holding a gasket shape and reinforcing the gasket in the gasket, and integrating this core material and the gasket. SOLUTION: In this gasket 2 with the whole periphery of its core material 1 covered with an elastic body, rigidity for holding a gasket shape is imparted by the presence of the core material 1, and sufficient sealing performance is obtained without enlarging the total thickness of the gasket 2, that is, an outside diameter. A cross-sectional shape of the gasket 2 may be a shape of an ellipse. The core material 1 may not be positioned in the center of the gasket 2, and a cross-sectional shape of the gasket 2 is desirably a circular shape from the viewpoint of sealing performance. The core material 1 and the gasket 2 are integrated by joining the core material 1 with thermoplastic elastomer by an insert molding method or an extrusion molding method.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a framed gasket satisfying the rigidity and the sealability and capable of being placed even in a narrow clearance by making a frame body out of a synthetic resin, forming a gasket out of an elastic body, and fixing the gasket to a side surface of the frame body. SOLUTION: A thickness t1 and a width W1 of a frame body, and the total thickness t2 and a width W2 of a gasket are properly determined in consideration of the use of a framed gasket, but the thickness of the frame body is preferably above 0.1 mm to obtain the sufficient rigidity. As a synthetic resin forming the frame body, for example, an acrylonitrile styrene resin and the like can be used. As an elastic body forming the gasket, for example, butyl rubber and the like can be used. By fixing the gasket 2 to the side surface of the frame body 1 in the framed gasket, the framed gasket can be provided with the rigidity enough to hold the shape with the total thickness of the gasket 2, and the gasket can be formed into the desired shape for satisfying the sealability.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mechanical strength and electromagnetic wave shielding property of a gasket, and reduce the weight thereof by unifying a framework made of the synthetic resin with the gasket made of an elastic material and forming a cross section of the frame into a deformed shape. SOLUTION: As the synthetic resin forming a frame 1, a thermoplastic resin such as styrene resin such as acrylonitrile styrene resin, olefin resin such as polyethylene, polyamide resin such as nylon, and polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate is used. The frame 1 is formed into a shape having a different cross section in surfaces vertical to the inner periphery and outer periphery of the frame. A gasket with frame is used for bonding surfaces of a cover body 4 and a box body 4. On a point of the electromagnetic shielding property, an H-type frame is desirable. As an elastic body forming the gasket and members, vulcanized rubber and thermoplastic elastomer can be used.

SOLUTION: The elastomer composition consists of (a) 100 pts.wt. hydrogenated block copolymer obtained by hydrogenating a block copolymer consisting of at least one polymer block comprising mainly an aromatic vinyl compound and at least one polymer block comprising mainly a conjugated diene compound, (b) 50-1,000 pts.wt. non-aromatic softener having a kinematic viscosity at 40 deg.C of 100 mm2/sec or higher, and (c) 1-100 pts.wt. polypropylene homopolymer and/or propylene copolymer comprising mainly propylene, obtained by polymerization in the presence of a metallocene catalyst.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an elastic member which has proper hardness, hardly flaws an image formation body, and has superior wear resistance and, specially, small compressive and tensile permanent strain by making the elastic member of a cross-linked body obtained by heating and/or irradiating a composition, containing thermoplastic urethane resin and a cross-linking monomer, with an electron beam. SOLUTION: This elastic member is made of the cross-linked body obtained by heating and/or irradiating the composition containing the thermoplastic urethane resin and cross-linking monomer with the electron beam. In this composition, the 0.5 to 40 pts.wt. cross-linking monitor is mixed with the 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic urethane resin. To manufacture this elastic member, the composition containing the thermoplastic urethane resin and cross-linking monomer is prepared. The prepared composition is cross-linked into the elastic member for a cleaning blade, for example, after the composition is united with a support member 2 in a specific shape by a molding method such as injection molding.
