Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve slump loss by using a cement admixture containing a co-condensate prepared by subjecting plural compound shown by specific general formulas and an amino-based polymerization terminator to addition co- condensation with formaldehyde. CONSTITUTION:Given amounts of compounds shown by formula I and formula II (R1 and R2 are 1-6C straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl; X is alkali metal) and an amino-based polymerization terminator shown by formula III, IV, V or VI (X2 and X3 are H, 1-3C alkyl, carboxyl, sulfone or alkali metal; Z1 is H, 1-3C alkyl, -CH2SO3M1 and M1 and M2 are H or alkali metal) are weighed, mixed with water and adjusted to proper concentration and pH. The solution is heated to about 80-90 deg.C, to which 0. 7-5 times as much formalin calculated as formaldehyde as the whole monomer is dripped. The compounds are subjected to addition co-condensation at pH 3-12 for a given time while stirring to give a co-condensate having 1,000-50,000 molecular weight. The co-condensate is used alone as a cement admixture or together with another admixture and mixed with cement.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a production of a cement dispersant. CONSTITUTION:This cement dispersant is produced by the following processes (1) and (2) in the production of the alkali metal salt of a naphthalenesulfonic acid-formalin condensate. (1) One mol of naphthalene is sulfonated with 1.12-1.17 mols of fuming sulfuric acid (expressed in terms of sulfuric acid). (2) Neutralization is carried out with the double salt consisting of one mol of sodium salt and 0.8-1.2 mols of potassium salt. As a result, the process for producing the dispersant is drastically simplified, and the cost is reduced. The dispersant has excellent dispersibility and is widely used in the field of ready-mixed cement, secondary products, etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cement admixture containing a copolymer composition obtained by polymerizing maleic anhydride with a copolymerizable and hydrophobic monomer in the presence of a vinyl based hydrophilic monomer and having prescribed average molecular weight as a main component and capable of efficiently preventing lowering of the flowability of a cement compound by adding to the cement compound. CONSTITUTION:Maleic anhydride is polymerized with a copolymerizable and hydrophobic monomer such as ethylene in a molar ratio of 1/2-2/1 in the presence of a vinyl based hydrophilic monomer to provide the cement admixture. The above-mentioned hydrophilic monomer is preferably blended in a ratio of 0.1-20mol.% based on the total monomer. As the hydrophilic monomer, especially (meth)acrylic acid is preferably used. The admixture obtained by the above-mentioned copolymerization has 5,000-50,000 weight-average mol.wt. and 0.05-50mum particle size. The method for adding the cement admixture to the cement compound includes e.g. dissolution to knead water and addition to the cement compound once kneaded.
