Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve heat transfer rate by a method wherein both front and rear surfaces of a plate fin is provided with a multitude of louver type raised- slotted parts at an interval between heat transfer tubes and the sides thereof are slanted with respect to airflow. CONSTITUTION:Boundary layer leading edge effect, precluding the development of temperature boundary layer, is contrived by louver type raised-slotted parts 11a-11f. Further, the sides 11g'-11e' of the raised-slotted parts are formed so as to be slanted with respect to the inflow direction of the airflow B, therefore, the airflow B collides against said sides and generates eddies whereby the improvement of heat transfer performance due to the promotion of turbulent flow may be contrived. On the other hand, the airflow B flows along the raised- slotted parts and the sides thereof and flows into the back stream side of a heat transfer tube 13 whereby dead water areas 14a, 14b at the back stream side of the heat transfer tubes 13 are reduced remarkably and heat transfer performance may be improved. The boundary layer leading edge effect, the turbulent flow promoting effect and the dead water area reducing effect may be introduced and heat transfer rate may be improved markedly.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the heat transfer coefficient of a flat fin and to obtain a compact, high-performance heat exchanger, by penetrating and coupling a plurality of heat transfer pipe groups into a plurality of fins, making the pitch between the heat transfer pipe groups larger than the distance between the neighboring heat transfer pipes, and partially overlapping the heat transfer pipes. CONSTITUTION:Refrigerant is circulated in copper pipes 8a and 8b. The heat is sequentially transferred to a fin collar 9 and a fin 10 from the copper pipe 8. The heat is exchanged with air 11, which flows from the front side. The copper pipes 8 are arranged so that the copper pipe 8b is overlapped partially with a projected plane 12 of the copper pipe 8a on the upstream side as shown in relationship between the copper pipes 8a and 8b. The pitch (b) between the copper pipe groups is larger than the distance (c) between the neighboring copper pipes. Namely, the projected plane of any of the copper pipes 8 on the upstream side is overlapped with the copper pipe on the downstream side. Therefore the distance between the copper pipes forms a slant line with respect to the air stream and becomes larger than the distance in a grid matrix arrangement. Therefore water drops down excellently. The stagnant area of water appears over the approximately entire region on the downstream side of the copper pipes in the grid arrangement. But in this arrangement of the copper pipes, said stagnant area is markedly reduced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heat-insulator and a heat-insulating casing, having excellent heat-insulating properties by filling the interior of cell with a volatile foaming agent having a low heat conductivity of vapor, which are obtained by adsorbing and removing carbon dioxide gas in the interior of the cell in the foamed heat-insulator by a hydroxide of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal, and further removing the water generated by the side reaction of the adsorbing reaction of the carbon dioxide gas by a water-absorbing material covered with a resin film. SOLUTION: This foamed heat-insulator 4 is constituted of a foamed polyurethane resin composition having cells which include a carbonic acid salt 7 of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal formed by reacting a hydroxide of the alkali metal or the alkaline earth metal with carbon dioxide gas, and a water-absorbing material 10 composed of a water-absorbing material 8 containing the water and covered with a resin film 9, both dispersed therein, and which are filled with a volatile foaming agent and a part or the whole of which are communicated.

A polyol, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst, water, the volatile blowing agent and a polyisocyanate are mixed with the carbon dioxide gas adsorbent obtained by coating a carbon dioxide gas adsorbing solid composed of at least one of an alkali metal hydroxide and an alkaline earth metal hydroxide and the water-retaining solid with the resin film, expanded and passed through a step, in which the polyurethane resin composition containing a carbon dioxide gas generated by the reaction between water and a polyisocyanate and the volatile blowing agent in the closed cell is formed, to give the objective heat insulating material.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To improve foaming heat insulating performance by integrating a carbon dioxide adsorbent being foamed into a hard urethane foam to remove carbon dioxide in the hard urethane foam by adsorption. CONSTITUTION: In a carbon dioxide adsorbent 1, calcium hydroxide is impregnated with a 0.01mol. equivalence of moisture per the calcium hydroxide and a vinyl acetate resin is formed as film by a wet type spray coating. A premixing component and an isocyanate component are mixed and stirred up using a high pressure foaming machine with a specified number of blending parts and injected into a box body hollow part 5 made up of an inner box 3 and an outer box 4 from a delivery head 2 through an injection port 6. The carbon dioxide adsorbent 1 is arranged previously at a box body flange part 7 below the injection port 6 and material delivered from the delivery head 2 entrains the carbon dioxide adsorbent 1 to fill the box body hollow part 5 being mixing integral. The urethane foam 7 filled is hardened with the passage of time to obtain a heat insulating box body.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a foamed insulating material which adsorbs only carbon dioxide and has heat-insulating performance improved by mixing a polyol, a polyisocyanate, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst, a carbon dioxide adsorbent coated with an organic coating agent and a foaming agent such as hydrocarbon and foaming the mixture. CONSTITUTION: A polyol such as an aromatic amine polyether polyol, an organic polyisocyanate, a foam stabilizer, a catalyst, a carbon dioxide adsorbent coated with an organic coating agent such as a methacrylate coating agent on its surface (zeolite), and a foaming agent containing at least one of hydrocarbon such as pentane or cyclopentane are admixed and heat-foamed to give this foamed insulating material, for example, an insulating box, as the carbon dioxide adsorbent adsorbs only carbon dioxide without adsorption of moisture whereby the insulating performance is improved without damage in foaming efficiency of the foam products.

CONSTITUTION:This foamed heat-insulating material is obtained by mixing and stirring (A) an organic polyisocyanate such as diphenylmethane diisocyanate with (B) a polyol component containing 5-30% OH component having a molecular structure of the formula [(n)>=2] (e.g. diethylene glycol), (C) a foam stabilizer, (D) a catalyst and (E) a foaming agent containing 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane and foaming and molding the mixture.
