Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a low reflection touch panel with suppressed reduction cost of the low reflection touch panel in which a transparent electrically conductive film is directly formed on at least either a first 1/4 wavelength plate or a second 1/4 wavelength plate. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device having a low reflection touch panel is equipped with the low reflection touch panel on the front face of a liquid crystal display 1. The low reflection touch panel is produced by successively stacking at least, from the liquid crystal display 1 side, a first 1/4 wavelength plate 3, two layers of transparent electrically conductive films 5 facing each other with a spacer, a second 1/4 wavelength plate 6 having an optical axis perpendicular to that of the first 1/4 wavelength plate 3 and a polarizer 8. The transparent electrically conductive film 5 is directly formed on at least one of the first 1/4 wavelength plate 3 and the second 1/4 wavelength plate 6. In this device, a correcting plate 10 for polarization direction is disposed between the liquid crystal display 1 and the first 1/4 wavelength plate 3 of the low reflection touch panel so that the optical axis 4 of the first 1/4 wavelength plate 3 is aligned parallel or perpendicular to the side line of the first 1/4 wavelength plate 3.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of liquid by sealingly cover the whole side of a touch pannel having insulative transparent liquid in a space formed by bonding an upper electrode film to a lower electrode body at an edge with an outer covering being transparent or exposing its operation area. SOLUTION: A touch pannel 42 is sealed in an outer covering 83 which is transparent at least in its operation area so that insulative transparent liquid 5 is doubly sealed. Accordingly, even if the liquid 5 is liable to leak outside from the bonded part between an upper electrode film 1 and a lower electrode 2 of the pannel 42 at an edge part or a part of the pannel 42 damaged, it is pushed back by the outer covering 83. resulting in prevention of liquid leakage. Consequently, there is no such a fear that restraining of reflection or visuality improvement effect is damaged, or insulation error or failure in a circuit board or the like, or post-treatment at the replacing time of the touch pannel 42 damaged is made hard.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method for a transparent touch panel of an excellent yield and simple processes. CONSTITUTION:A transparent resistance film 5 and an insulation coating 6 are formed on the whole surface of an upper surface of a transparent insulation base material 3, an input part range of the insulation coating 6 is patterned in a photolithography method to form a spacer 7, leaving the outer side of the input part range as an insulation range 10, and a pair of parallel strip electrodes 8 are formed at both ends of the input part range to provide a lower electrode sheet 1. A transparent resistance film 5 is formed on the whole surface of a lower surface of a transparent flexible insulation base material 4, the resistance film 5 is eliminated by etching except for the input part range, the parallel strip electrodes 8 are formed at both ends of the resistance film 5, and a lead 9 is formed to provide an upper electrode sheet 2. The lower electrode sheet 1 and the upper electrode sheet 2 are combined on each other in such a way that thair respective inter-electrode directions are deflected by 90deg. to provide a transparent touch panel.
