Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize a rotary head type cassette tape recorder having width and height equal to the standard size of an existing 3.5-inch disk drive device by reducing the width and the height in external size. CONSTITUTION:A tape cassette 7 is inserted from an aperture on the front surface of a case 1 and held by a cassette holder 6. When the cassette 7 is pushed in to some extent, it is moved backward by a motor 28. As the cassette 7 is inserted according to the shape of guiding grooves 4 and 5 and cam grooves 18 and 19, the cassette 7 become to have backward declining posture from horizontal posture. Then, a reel base 32 is arranged to be engaged with a reel hub in the cassette 7 when the casette 7 is loaded at a final position. A mechanical chassis 31 is provided with a tape guiding drum 35 and a tape loading mechanism. A magnetic tape is pulled out from the cassette 7 by the tape loading mechanism and wound round the peripheral surface of the drum 35.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily select an FF/REW mode or a high-speed FF/REW mode by providing an intermediate gear which couples between a gear on a driving side and a relay gear on a supplying side or a relay gear on a taking-up side. CONSTITUTION:Change-over switches 30 and 34 which switch a first gear row consisting of the gear 23 on the driving side, a pendulum gear 44 and the relay gear 47 on the taking-up side or the relay gear 46 on the supplying side and a second gear row consisting of the gear 23 on the driving side, the intermediate gear 40 and the relay gear 47 on the taking-up side or the gear 46 on the supplying side are provided. Then, the speed reduction ratio of the second gear row is set lower than that of the first gear row and a reel base 4 on the taking-up side or a reel base 3 on the supplying side is rotated by the first gear row under the state that a tape is loaded at the time of the FF/REW mode. Besides, the reel base 4 or the reel base 3 is rotated by the second gear row under the state that the tape is returned in an unloading direction at the time of the high-speed FF/REW mode.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simply and exactly execute the adjustment of bridging and tension of a belt without increasing the number of parts by contriving to attach a supporting plate for supporting a driven side pulley to a mechanism chassis. CONSTITUTION:Bridging of a timing belt 12 is executed by applying external force to a supporting plate 17 and turning it in the direction for narrowing an interval between a driving side pulley 8 and a driven side pulley 10, bridging the belt 12 between both the pulleys 8, 10, and thereafter, releasing the external force to the supporting plate 17. Subsequently, by allowing a screw 22 to pass through a slot 17b of the turning end of the supporting plate 17 which is turned by tensile force of an energizing means 21 and returned to its original position, and screwing the screw 22 into a boss 19 of a mechanism chassis 2, a position to the chassis 2 of the supporting plate 17 is fixed. In this case, since the tensile force of the energizing means 21 becomes tension of the belt 12, the tension of the belt can be adjusted by selecting suitably a spring constant.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify the subject mechanism by contriving a gear arrangement of a power transmission gear train and an interposing position of torque limiters, etc., and performing a changeover operation to each mode with a common slide lever. CONSTITUTION:The power transmission gear train 23, 44 (or 40), 46 and 47 (or 48) is provided with an inserting and withdrawing mechanism 19 and 34-36 for inserting and withdrawing the torque limiters 27 and 28. And, a gear train changeover means 30 and 34-36 is provided for changing gear trains of different reduction ratios in the power transmission gear train. Then, three modes of a 1st mode of inserting the torque limiters into the power transmission gear, a 2nd mode of noninsertion of the torque limiters into the power transmission gear but with a selected gear train of a low reduction ratio and a 3rd mode of noninsertion of a gear into the power transmission gear train but with a selected gear train of a high reduction ratio; are changed by the common slide lever 4.
