    Abstract: A RECORDING MEDIUM DEVICE HAVING A CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY HOUSING A RECORDING MEDIUM CONFIGURED FOR RECORDING INFORMATION SIGNALS. THE RECORDING MEDIUM DEVICE INCLUDES THE CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY HOUSING THE MAGNETIC TAPE, A CONTACT TERMINAL ARRANGED FACING THE OUTSIDE OF THE CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY FOR FUNCTIONING AS AN ELECTRICAL CONTACT FOR A DRIVE UNIT AND A SHUTTER MEMBER ARRANGED ON THE CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY FOR OPENING AND CLOSING THE CONTACT TERMINAL. THE CONTACT TERMINAL FACES OUTWARDLY OF THE CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY VIA AN OPENING FORMED IN THE OUTER PERIPHERAL WALL OF THE CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY. WHEN NOT LOADED ON THE DRIVE UNIT, THE SHUTTER MEMBER IS HELD AT A POSITION OF CLOSING THE OPENING FORMED IN THE CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY. WHEN LOADED ON THE DRIVE UNIT, THE SHUTTER MEMBER IS MOVED BY A SHUTTER OPENING MECHANISM MOUNTED IN THE DRIVE UNIT TO A POSITION OF OPENING THE OPENING FOR FACING THE CONTACT TERMINAL TO OUTSIDE OF THE CARTRIDGE MAIN BODY. THE SHUTTER MEMBER IS PERPETUALLY BIASED BY A BIASING UNIT IN A DIRECTION OF CLOSING THE OPENING CONFIGURED FOR EXPOSING THE CONTACT TERMINAL TO OUTSIDE. SINCE THE CONTACT TERMINAL OF THE RECORDING MEDIUM DEVICE IS COVERED BY THE SHUTTER MEMBER AND HENCE IS SAFEGUARDED AGAINST DEPOSITION OF DUCT AND DIRT FOR POSITIVE PROTECTION.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To protect respective components from impact force caused by inserting a recording medium and to stabilize a loading operation and an ejecting operation. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a cartridge holder 21 into which a tape cartridge 2 is inserted and held, a holder movement operation mechanism 26 for operating the movement of the cartridge holder 21 between an inserting/ ejecting position and a loading position and a driving motor 25 for operating the drive of the holder movement operation mechanism 26. The holder movement operation mechanism 26 has a movable slide plate 35 at one side and a limiter plate 38 connected to the slide plate 35 via a limiter spring 37. When the tape cartridge 2 is inserted into the cartridge holder 21, energizing force is imparted by the limiter spring 37 to the tape cartridge 2 to absorb a load. When the tape cartridge 2 is pushed in toward the loading position, a driving gear 46 is rotated in the direction of loading operation of the tape cartridge 2. By this method, the driving gear, etc., are protected from an overload, thereby the device is stably operated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance durability by preventing deformation of a connector in moving the connector into a position to be in contact with contact terminals when an end part on the side of the contact terminals of an auxiliary storage device of a tape cartridge is lowered to a loading completion position. SOLUTION: In the video tape recorder 60 concerned, a movable connector holder 72 for movably supporting the connector 71 is driven by a connector holder driving mechanism 73. The tape cartridge 1 mounted with the auxiliary storage device 50 to be connected with the contact terminals 53 is loaded into this recorder 60. At this time, the connector 71 is moved to escape into a position not in contact with the cartridge 1 by the mechanism 73 until the end part on the side of the terminals 53 is lowered to the loading completion position. Then, after the end part of the terminals 53 is lowered, a spring terminal 101 of the connector 71 is moved into a position to be in contact with the terminals 53 by the mechanism 73, so as to read out storage information of the device 50. Consequently, the connector is prevented from flawing, and the durability is enhanced.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To ensure insertion of a tape cassette by using a space in the height direction of a top cover and giving an erroneous insertion preventive function to a tape cassette push-out mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A tape cassette push-out mechanism 20 engages a cassette holder lock arm 2 with an abutting piece 6A of a slide drive plate 6b at the time of ejecting operation, and maintains an ejection state of a cassette holder 1. When the tape cassette 3 is inserted erroneously, a recessed part of a slide lock groove 22a of a push lever 22 is engaged with a slide pin 21B of a left X lever 21, and a lock state is maintained, and loading operation is prohibited. Further, when the tape cassette 3 is inserted normally, the holder 1 presses the lever 21 uniformly, and the pin 21B slides on the recessed part, and the loading operation is performed without engaging. Thus, even in a cassette compartment of e.g. 3.5 inch standard height, the insertion of the tape cassette is ensured.

CONSTITUTION: An output voltage from a Hall element 15 for tension is so small as about 0.65(V) in a range of tension of 11-20(g). At the time of calculating tension as a load on the tape by using this output voltage curve, a tension amt. can accurately be detected by utilizing a linearlike tendency of this curve. A linear output voltage characteristic is shown enough even in a region of low tension of 6-8. Consequently, accurate tension can thus be detected in a tension detecting rage of 7-20(g).

The 3rd transmission mechanism 24 is operated for driving by the 2nd transmission mechanism 23, and the magnetic tape 4 at the side of a tape winding reel 9 is wound by the 3rd magnetic tape operating mechanisms 28, 29 while being moved by the 3rd transmission mechanism 24.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize a rotary head type cassette tape recorder having width and height equal to the standard size of an existing 3.5-inch disk drive device by reducing the width and the height in external size. CONSTITUTION:A tape cassette 7 is inserted from an aperture on the front surface of a case 1 and held by a cassette holder 6. When the cassette 7 is pushed in to some extent, it is moved backward by a motor 28. As the cassette 7 is inserted according to the shape of guiding grooves 4 and 5 and cam grooves 18 and 19, the cassette 7 become to have backward declining posture from horizontal posture. Then, a reel base 32 is arranged to be engaged with a reel hub in the cassette 7 when the casette 7 is loaded at a final position. A mechanical chassis 31 is provided with a tape guiding drum 35 and a tape loading mechanism. A magnetic tape is pulled out from the cassette 7 by the tape loading mechanism and wound round the peripheral surface of the drum 35.
