Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve positional accuracy by providing the device with parallel parts in tight contact with optical fiber arrays along these arrays and regulating parts for positioning the respective optical fiber arrays in the projection direction of the prescribed angle with the array direction by regulating the movement in the arraying direction of the optical fiber arrays in such a manner that the specified spacings between the optical axes of the respective optical fiber arrays are attained. SOLUTION: An optical fiber supporting member 17 is obtd. by forming fiber fixing grooves by electric discharge machining to a material 19, such as SUS 303. These fiber fixing grooves are precisely worked in such a manner that the bases thereof constitute the parallel parts 15a, 15b and the flanks thereof constitute the regulating parts 16a to 16d. Next, the optical fiber array 11b and a dummy fiber 14a are brought into tight contact with the parallel part 15a and are so arrayed that the left end of the optical fibers comes into tight contact with the regulating part 16a and the right end of the dummy fiber 14a comes into tight contact with the regulating part 16b. After the optical fiber array 11a is piled thereon, a retaining member 13a is pushed in. Similarly the optical fiber array 11c and the dummy fiber 14b are arranged and the optical fiber array 11d is arranged thereon and thereafter, the retaining member 13b is pushed in and is integrated by adhering.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multicolor printer which can be set in a limited place and in which printing on the rear side is facilitated while enhancing the print quality by arranging a plurality of ink coaters substantially in the direction of gravity and arranging means for feeding and discharging a recording medium oppositely to the ink coaters with respect to a blanket cylinder. SOLUTION: A frame body 11 is arranged with ink coaters 61-64 substantially in the direction of gravity. Each ink coater 61-64 is fixed with a plate cylinder 41-44 to be fixed with a print plate and a blanket cylinder 51-54 is fixed contiguously to each plate cylinder 41-45. The frame body 11 is further fixed, on the blanket cylinder 51-54 side thereof, with units 20, 70 for feeding and discharging a recording medium, respectively. At the time of printing on the rear side, a sheet discharge table 73 is turned to alter the direction of the sheet by 180 deg. in the horizontal direction. The sheet discharge table 73 is then moved downward and used as a sheet feeding table 21 which is fixed to the space from where the sheet discharge table 73 is moved. According to the arrangement, movement of the recording medium is minimized in perfector.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the whole apparatus from completely failing when a part of a plurality of beam irradiation sources fails, thereby enabling an instant substitutional operation, by setting a connectable beam irradiation source-driving apparatus for each of light source blocks. SOLUTION: When a beam light source of a block A15a fails in an imaging apparatus, the block A15a, a beam irradiation-driving apparatus A13a are separated from a block C15c and a beam irradiation-driving apparatus C13c and a block D15d and a beam irradiation-driving apparatus D13d. A software for outputting of imaging data of a main control apparatus 11 is switched from one using all of the four blocks to one using one block. Moreover, a light source block in an imaging head is inclined by a predetermined angle, so that only a block B15b is used. In this case, although an imaging speed is reduced to 1/4, the apparatus is not stopped and can continue an imaging operation.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable flexible sheet of any size to be properly positioned in accordance with printed details and besides, its repeated use by providing holes for positioning on the edges in a vertical direction of the flexible sheet and bonding a blanket at a position corresponding to its printing size. CONSTITUTION:A blanket 1 consists of a flexible carrier sheet 2, a blanket 3 and an adhesive which bonds both together. The carrier sheet 2 is obtained by cutting transparent polyester film to the same length in a vertical direction as the size of a printing plate. A hole for positioning 5 and a hole for connecting a book 6 are drilled at the same position as the printing plate and these holes are fitted together on the printing plate using the hole for positioning 5 as a references, and the position of a drawn line section on the printing plate is drawn using rules. The blanket 3 cut to a specified printing size is bonded to the rear side of the ruled surface to obtain the blanket for offset press 1. The blanket can be bonded firmly and its bonded position can be determined accurately. In addition, the blanket can be manufactured accurately and rapidly and has superior size stability.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To shorten a time of stoppage of an apparatus by a method wherein the rotation of an ink fountain roller is stopped for a prescribed time to transfer an ink drop onto the ink fountain roller, the roller is rotated after the passage of the prescribed time and made to pass once over a roller whereon the ink is to be transferred, and thereafter the roller are made to contact with a cylinder with the feeding of the ink to be commenced. CONSTITUTION:When an ink fountain roller 1 is stopped, an ink drop 9' and an ink thin film 7 are integrated together. A certain time of stoppage is necessary for forming a shifting part 10 having a stable thickness. When the ink fountain roller 1 is rotated subsequently, the shifting part 10 of the ink is formed, and this shifting part 10 of the ink is collected in an ink duct 4 it is passed on a roller 8 whereon the ink is to be transferred, with the rotation of the ink fountain roller 1. Since an ink drop 9 formed under a doctor blade 2 is removed, accordingly, the ink fountain roller 1 and the roller 8 are made to contact with a cylinder after the shifting part 10 of the ink passes over the roller 8, and printing is reopened.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a printing plate from being missupplied, by outputting a plate supply starting command with a timing related to the rotational phase of a plate cylinder, retrieving velocity-controlling data from a memory on a time series basis on receiving the command, and controlling the driving of a plate-supplying roller motor on the basis of the data. CONSTITUTION:A reference rotary encoder 8 is connected to a rotary shaft of a plate cylinder 1, whereby a signal Z having one pulse per rotation of the cylinder 1 and a signal A having 240 pulses/in (ppi) on the circumference of the cylinder 1 are derived as the cylinder 1 is rotated. A printing controller 9 calculates a timing required for controlling the feeding of a printing plate 3, based on the signal Z and the signal A, and supplies a motor controller 10 with a plate supply starting command. When the plate supply starting command is supplied from the printing controller 9, data stores in a PROM 12 are retrieved in the order of addresses through an address-controlling part 13 based on the timing reference signal A outputted from the rotary encoder 8, and a pulse train signal having a pulse separation according to a predetermined speed characteristic is outputted to a motor driver 11.

CONSTITUTION:Plate-setting-removing units 5 and 6 enabling the automatic setting and removal of plates to and from plate cylinders 3 and 4 corresponding thereto, and inking units 7 and 8 for inking waterless lithographic plates fastened round the plate cylinders 3 and 4 corresponding thereto, are fitted removably in positions behind the plate cylinders 3 and 4, respectively. The above-stated construction enables the replacement of the inking units 7 and 8 and the plate-setting-removing units 5 and 6 by other inking units and plate- setting-removing units, so as to enable the easy replacement of ink and plates and thereby to enable the rapid and easy alteration of printing.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable a pressure barrel to be separated and fitted at any phase by connecting a pulse motor to an eccentric shaft with a pressure barrel fitted in a freely rotatable fashion and changing the intershaft distance between the pressure barrel and a transfer barrel through the rotation of the eccentric shaft at a required angle using a pulse motor. CONSTITUTION:During the separation of a barrel, a straight line SI and a straight line BI form a large angle, and if a left eccentric shaft 1104 is rotated counter-clockwise by a pressure barrel pulse motor 153, said angle becomes smaller gradually to allow a pressure barrel 11 to rock counter-clockwise centering around a point S and fit to a blanket barrel 2. However, the pressure barrel pulse motor 153 is further driven to allow the rotational center I of the pressure barrel 11 to get closer to the center B of the blanket barrel 2 until a state earlier than that where the straight line SI coincides with the straight line BI occurred, and set such a closest location as a barrel fitting point. When changing printing pressure according to printed matter, the pressure barrel pulse motor 153 is driven between eccentric shaft rotational angles to properly change the intershaft distance between the pressure barrel 11 and the blanket barrel 2. Thus it is possible to allow the pressure barrel to be fitted and separated at any phase and appropriate speed.
