    Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the uneven sheet thickness due to the vibration of a sheet spreading between a mouth piece and a moving cooling body by a method wherein the voltage output, which is applied by a high-voltage generator to the moving cooling body, is variably controlled in response to the vibratory displacement of the thermoplastic resin sheet spreading between the mouth piece and the moving cooling body. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic sheet 2, which is melt-extruded from a mouth piece 1, is cooled and solidified by being brought into contact with a moving cooling body 3 and, after that, sent through a separating roller 4 to a post- treatment process. The surface of the cooling roller 3 is held at high potential by being applied with high voltage generated by a high-voltage generator 5. The vibratory displacement of the thermoplastic resin sheet 2 spreading between the mouth piece 1 and the cooling roller 3 is monitored with a laser Doppler type vibrometer 6 so as to send displacement signals to a control device 7. The control device 7 sends control signals, which control high-voltage output so as to suppress the displacement against the sent displacement signals, to the high-voltage generator 5 in order to variably control the surface potential of the cooling roller 3 as mentioned above.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the uneven sheet-thickness by a method wherein the waveform and phase of voltage output, which is applied by a high-voltage generator to a moving cooling body, are variably controlled in synchronization with the change of the thickness of a produced sheet. CONSTITUTION:A polymeric sheet 2, which is melt-extruded from a mouth piece 1, is cooled and solidified by being brought into contact with a moving cooling body 3. The surface of the cooling roller 3 is held at high potential by being applied with high voltage generated by a high-voltage generator 5. In addition, the change of the thickness of the sheet in contact with the roller is monitored with a thickness measuring apparatus 6. Obtained thickness change waveform signal is sent to a waveform signal analyzer 7 so as to be analyzed in order to express the signal in terms of the sum of a plurality of sinusoidal waves. Control signals generating potential change to apply periodic waveforms, the frequencies and amplitudes of which are equal to and the phases of which are shifted at 180 degrees to each of split up sinusoidal waves, are sent from the analyzer 7 to the high-voltage generator 5 in order to variably control the surface potential of the cooling roller 3 as mentioned above.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to heat a film up to the predetermined temperature while preventing the film from adhering to rolls by a employing heated rolls coated with fluoroplastic of specified thickness. CONSTITUTION:The film in this case includes not only unstretched film but also thermoplastic resin film oriented at least uniaxially. Preheating rolls 1-8 consist of rolls 1-4, the surface of each of which is of metal, and heated rolls 5-8. The temperature of the rolls 1-4 for preheating I is set at as comparatively low as of 75-80 deg.C, while the temperature of the rolls 5-8 for preheating II is set at about 120 deg.C. With a fluoroplastic coat of the thickness of 10-500mum on the surface of each of the heated rolls 5-8, excellent non-adhesiveness is shown to the thermoplastic resin getting liable to adhere by heating, and consequently the adhering of the film at comparatively high heating temperature is prevented from occurring. Accordingly, if the number of heated rolls to response to the thickness and carrying speed of film is provided, a film can be heated up to the predetermined orienting or heat-treatment temperature.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional stability due to heat treatment by also loosing longitudinally by a method wherein upstream side driving wheels and downstream side driving wheels are provided in a tenter and the peripheral speed of the downstream side driving wheel is made smaller than that of the upstream side driving wheel. CONSTITUTION:In a method to heat-treat uniaxially stretched film 1 while running in a tenter 2 under the state that both sides of the film are held with clips 3, the upstream side wheels and downstream side wheels among the running wheels of the clips are made as driving wheels. At the same time, the driving wheels are run under the condition that the peripheral speed of the downstream side driving wheel 5 is made smaller than that of the upstream side driving wheel 4. Because the stretched film is heat-treated under the state also of being loosen longitudinally due to the difference between the speeds of both said wheels, the dimensional stability is made better. Thus, the titled treatment is suitable for manufacturing magnetic tape and the like. In addition, the facilities for the treatment can simply be obtained, because the only replacement of the running wheels in the conventional device with driving wheels is enough.
