Abstract:
A system for controlling vehicle opening/closing element has a radiation block for irradiating near-infrared light to a peripheral region of an opening/closing element; a photographing block that photographs an image irradiated with the near-infrared light; a hand region extraction block that extracts a user's hand region from brightness of an image photographed by the photographing block; a motion detection block that detects motions of the user's hand from the extracted hand region; and a control block that determines whether or not the detected motions coincide with previously-set predetermined motions and that commands operation of the opening/closing element in accordance with the determined motions.
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a control structure of a vehicle capable of reliably responding to an operation intention of a user outside the vehicle. The structure includes: a reflective optical sensor 5 configured to detect an entry of a detection target 4 into a recessed hollow section 1 formed in a vehicle outer wall according to a change in an amount of reflected beams of detection light 3 emitted from a light emitting opening 2 provided in one wall surface of the recessed hollow section 1 toward another wall surface of the recessed hollow section 1; and a controller 6 configured to operate a certain control target 7 when the reflective optical sensor 5 detects the entry of the detection target 4 into the recessed hollow section 1.
Abstract:
An opening and closing control apparatus includes an automatic sliding door controller that controls a drive of an opening and closing driving mechanism. The automatic sliding door controller determines whether a request is a manual operating request or an automatic operating request on the basis of a signal from a press switch that is switched on by a press-on operation. In the case of the automatic operating request, the automatic sliding door controller is configured so that an automatic opening and closing determination process determines whether a request is an opening operating request or a closing operating request based on the detection of door state detection section, and an opening and closing process is then executed by operating the opening and closing driving mechanism based on the determination.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for actuating a virtual switch (50) by means of a sensor system (17.2) which detects an actuation of the switch (50), the sensor system (17.2) having at least two non-contact sensors (11, 12). The method comprises the following steps: a) starting the method, b) monitoring at least one sensor (11), starting a first timer (11.2) for a first period (11.3) if the first sensor (11) is activated (by an approaching object), d) starting a second timer (12.2) for a second period (12.3) if the second sensor (12) is activated (by an approaching object) and the first period (11.3) is not yet exceeded, and e) actuating the virtual switch (50) if at least one sensor (11, 12) is deactivated and the second period (12.3) is not yet exceeded, some of steps a) to e) proceeding simultaneously or chronologically.
Abstract:
A drive arrangement is provided for motorized pivotal movement of a vehicle door. The drive has a self-locking motor unit, a gear connected downstream of the motor unit for producing linear drive movement, and a clutch connected therebetween. The clutch can be moved into an engaged state in which the motor unit for nominal operation is engaged to the vehicle door. When the motor unit is turned off, manual movement of the vehicle door is blocked. The clutch can be moved into a released state in which the motor unit is separated from the vehicle door in terms of drive engineering. The clutch can be moved into the intermediate engaged state with reduced transmission moment and force so that the vehicle door is kept in its current position at any time by self-locking of the motor unit, but can be moved by manual actuation with a minimum actuation force.
Abstract:
A mounting system for a closure which enables the closure to be opened from at least two sides. The closure includes handles mounted on the two sides and is mounted to a frame which the closure closes with the at least two sides. The closure only be opened from one of the sides at a time. The mounting system includes a locking and releasing mechanism on each of the sides, at least one hinge attached to each of the respective sides, a control bar attached to each hinge, the bar substantially locked into a respective control system, and a control circuit comprising a sensor and a relay, associated with each of the handles, whereby if a person opens the closure from one side, the sensor on that side activates the corresponding relay to operate the control system on that side of the closure and the hinge on that side is retracted.
Abstract:
The clutch includes a drive disk, a follower disk and a brake disk. When current flows, the follower disk is connected with the drive disk to transmit a power from a driving unit to a door-opening/closing mechanism. When no current flows, the follower disk is separated from the drive disk to cut off the power transmission from the driving unit to the door-opening/closing mechanism. In a state that the drive disk and the follower disk are separated from each other, the brake disk is connected to the follower disk to brake the door-opening/closing mechanism in the opening direction of the door, and to allow the door-opening/closing mechanism to move in the closing direction of the door.
Abstract:
An operating mechanism for an open/close object comprising a driving device for driving and opening the open/close object, a position detecting device for detecting an open position of the open/close object (1), and a fully open position storage device for storing a fully open position of the open/close object, wherein, when the driving device drives and opens the open/close object, the driving device is stopped in a fully open recognition position stored in the fully open position storage device or a position a fixed amount short of the fully open recognition position. When a current position of the open/close object after completion of the opening drive by the driving device is different from the fully open recognition position (#1), the fully open position storage device sets a new fully open recognition position (#2).
Abstract:
An upwardly pivotable vehicle lid is provided with a pneumatic pressure strut intermediate body and lid, as an opening drive for the pivot movement into a terminal position having a maximum pivot angle, with the extending movement of a piston rod out of the pneumatic strut cylinder defining the pivot angle being limitable in a plurality of positions ahead of the maximally possible pivot angle by an arresting device mounted outside of the cylinder. The arresting device includes an arresting member positioned on the cylinder of the pneumatic pressure strut and movable into frictional engagement with a complementary member movable by the piston rod of the pneumatic strut.
Abstract:
A door operator for a vehicle wherein resilient means couples the drive arm to the door to control the force applied by the door operator throughout the door closing cycle. The operator is compact and mountable in the side wall of the vehicle above the floor and includes an independent locking system, together with an emergency opening assembly.
