    Abstract: An anode substrate for a display device which is made of a glass plate and of which an inner surface formed thereon with color filters is smoothed with a smoothing layer. The anode substrate is subject to a heating treatment during manufacturing thereof is provided. The anode substrate includes at least one smoothing layer made of low-melting glass and formed on the inner surface of the glass plate. The low-melting glass has a softening point lower than a distortion point of the glass plate and a distortion point equal to or higher than a heating temperature in the subsequent step. A method for manufacturing the anode substrate is also disclosed.

Bajcar : An optical interference electroluminescent device having low reflectance comprises three layers forming an electroluminescent transparent front electrode, a counter electrode and an electroluminescent layer between the electrodes, with or without dielectric layers between them, and at least one optical interference film layer sandwiched between two of the layers or at the faces of the electrodes. The optical interference layer comprises at least one transparent optical interference film and is in interfacial contact with a layer so that the reflectance of ambient light by the device is reduced by optical interference at the interfaces between the layers and the film(s). The optical interference layer(s) may include at least one partially absorbing film. The device may have arrays of electrodes forming pixels.

The coating has a rough surface and is composed essentially of a silicate material and a metallic compound in proportions to impart the desired antistatic characteristic without substantially degrading the image-transmitting capability of the coating. When the tube is operated, the coating is grounded either directly or through the metal implosion-prevention system on the tube.

    Abstract: A position-sensitive radiation detector includes a substrate and an electrically conductive electrode system which is arranged on a surface of said substrate and the configuration and arrangement of which permits position determination of a charge carrier beam impinging thereon. The substrate and the electrode system each consist of a transparent material, for example glass, or a mixture of indium oxide and tin oxide. Disposed on the electrode system is a layer of luminescent material. The present radiation detector permits at the same both an electronic and an optical signal acquisition, the latter for example photographically, visually or by means of an optoelectronic device, such as a video camera, which picks up the light passing through the substrate. Due to the combined electronic and optical signal acquisition the radiation detector can be used in a very large intensity range.
