    Abstract: PURPOSE: A double-transgenic dementia mouse expressing a mutant PS2 gene and an APPsw gene is provided to show perfectly dementia symptoms and to be useful in developing a dementia treatment and improving an early diagnostic test of the disease. CONSTITUTION: The double-transgenic dementia mouse is produced by mating a single-transgenic mouse(A) with a single-transgenic mouse(B). The transgenic mouse(A) expressing a mutant PS2 gene is produced by following steps of: preparing a recombinant fusion gene by connecting an mutant PS2 gene to a promoter of a Neuron-Specific Enolase gene; microinjecting the recombinant fusion gene into a fertilized egg of a mouse; and breeding the transgenic mice(A) by nidating the fertilized egg into a surrogate mother mouse. The transgenic mouse(B) expressing an APPsw gene is produced in the same manner.
