Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide the method for converting a format of a displayed text into other format. CONSTITUTION: A text is entered by using a pen for hand-written purpose is entered into a computer system 10, in which the text is automatically converted into a type face text in a 1st text domain. Upon the receipt of a recognition conversion gesture, the system 10 converts automatically the displayed text into 2nd characters from the 1st text domain. The displayed text may be at first written in Hiragana (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) and/or Katakana (square form of Japanese syllabary). Upon the receipt of the conversion gesture, the system 10 converts Hiragana and Katakana characters into proper KANJIs.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To compress and restore data without a loss by comparing a color list from a pixel block of color image data with a previous color list. CONSTITUTION: After pixel shading data is decompressed by a compression and decompression means 120, a pixel shading value is generated by using a rendering means 121. The means 120 is connected to the means 121. In partial cases, the means 121 retrieves a shading value from a storage means 122 after pixel shading data is decompressed by the means 120. The means 121 is connected to a frame buffer 123, and the buffer 123 contains digital data information used for shading of pixels on a display means 124. The buffer 123 is connected to the means 120, and contents of the buffer 123 are compressed and are transferred to the means 120 and are decompress at the time of storing image display. Data is stored in the means 122 after compression. Thus, a lossless data compression/decompression method is obtained.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To make the configuration of device for performing electric separation small in size and light in weight by replacing a transformer with an optic/ electronic coupler. CONSTITUTION: Each time a pulse from a computer 20 through a MODEM 22 is received, a 1st LED is flashed. Corresponding to the duration and synchronism of this output pulse, a phototransistor 18 is conducted and an electronic pulse is transmitted through a MODEM 21 to a telephone system 30. The electronic pulse is transmitted from the system 30 to the computer 20 by a similar symmetric circuit. Because of such a system for separating the MODEM 21 and 22 by replacing the optic/electronic coupler with the transformer without using any transformer, the configuration of device for performing electric separation is made light in weight and small in size.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To remove off-axis contrast and color slippage at the time of off-axis observation and to remove a parallax on a touch screen by adopting specific flat panel multi-layer structure. CONSTITUTION: The multi-layer structure of a flat panel LCD screen 80 includes one layer 74. Since the layer 74 is a specially designed and manufactured glass material and has both the characteristics of an optical fiber and a polarizer, the layer 74 called as a polarized optical fiber layer. The layer 74 in the structure 80 is used instead of conventional analyzer layer, upper glass layer and optical fiber layer and the layer 74 acting as an optical fiber material transfers an LCD image from an LC layer to the upper surface of the layer 74. Since an image is observed at a fixed visual angle (visual line 38) of 90 deg., a fixed 90 deg. angle of view is shown on the surface of the optical fiber and the observation of 90 deg. can be attained by a user also at the time of observing the layer 74 at an off-axis angle.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To miniaturize a degaussing coil and to reduce necessary space by arranging the spiral pattern of an electric trace on a substrate installed on a front vessel surrounding CRT. CONSTITUTION: This degaussing coil 24 for preventing the influence of a magnetic field due to the external equipment of a cathode ray tube 20 are constituted in spiral forms with the conductive trace printed at the inner face of the vessel 22. Thus, it is not necessary to separately provide the degaussing coil and to assemble it so as to make a space to be small. A contact 28 is provided and is connected to a subsequent circuit. Thus, wiring connected to the degaussing coil is not required, assembly is automated and workability can be improved.

MMU is provided with a cross domain control logic evaluating ADN and DDN to detect the tried flow of information characteristic to a domain. The cross domain control logic is provided with ability prohibiting the flow of information between domains and flow of control by means of CPU between the domains.
