Abstract: Método para preparar una superficie superhidrofóbica sobre un sustrato sólido que comprende los pasos de: (a) proporcionar un solvente en forma de un fluido presurizado en un recipiente, en donde el fluido muestra un descenso en el poder de solvencia al disminuir la presión; (b) añadir una sustancia hidrofóbica al solvente como un soluto, sustancia que es soluble en el fluido presurizado y tiene la capacidad de cristalizar después de la expansión del fluido, obteniéndose con ello una solución del solvente y el soluto en el recipiente; (c) tener al menos un orificio abierto en el recipiente, produciendo con ello que la solución presurizada fluya fuera del recipiente y se evapore en el aire ambiente o en una cámara de expansión que tiene una presión menor que dentro del recipiente, formando el soluto de esta manera partículas; (d) depositar las partículas sobre el sustrato para obtener una superficie superhidrofóbica.
