    Abstract: PURPOSE: A method for diagnosing Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV) and a diagnosis kit are provided, thereby PEDV can be rapidly and simply detected with lower cost. CONSTITUTION: The method for diagnosing Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV) comprises the steps of: injection the antigen of Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV) into chickens; separating vitellus from eggs of immunized chickens; producing monoclonal antibody IgG2a from hybridoma PEDV 41-4(KCLRF-BP-00023) using the vitellus; attaching the monoclonal antibody of Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus(PEDV) into a plate; reacting with testing samples; and reacting with the specific antigen, in which monoclonal antibody IgG2a can reacts with 30 to 33 kDa proteins of PEDV. The PEDV diagnosis kit contains the monoclonal antibody IgG2a and can diagnose PEDV by detecting the change of color.
