CONSTITUTION: An organic electroluminescent compound has a structure marked with chemical formula 1. An organic electroluminescent device contains the organic electroluminescent compound. The organic electroluminescent device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and more than one layer of organic material layer inserted in between the first and second electrodes.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: An electroluminescent device is provided to reduce the driving voltage of the device, and to enhance the driving durability and the lifetime of the device. CONSTITUTION: An electroluminescent device comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and more than one organic material layer inserted in between the first and the second electrodes. The organic material layer includes more than one organic luminescent compound marked with chemical formula 1 as a host material. In the chemical formula 1, M is a divalence or trivalence metal. Y is either 0 when the M is the divalence metal, and 1 when the M is the trivalence metal. Q is either an aryloxy group of C6~C60, or a tri-arylsilyl group of C6~C30.
