A food composition for preventing and treating obesity contains Pittosporum heterophyllum extract as an active ingredient. The composition is manufactured in the form of a pill, powder, granule, tablet, capsule, or beverage.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A composition containing mixture extract of Saururus chinensis and Scutellaria baicalensis is provided to suppress osteoclast differentiation, enhance bone density and bone content, and prevent or treat osteoporosis. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating osteoporosis contains mixture extract of Saururus chinensis and Scutellaria baicalensis as an active ingredient. The weight ratio of the Saururus chinensis and Scutellaria baicalensis is 1:10-10:1. A food composition for preventing and relieving osteoporosis contains mixture extract of Saururus chinensis and Scutellaria baicalensis as an active ingredient. A method for producing the mixture extract comprises: a step of washing Saururus chinensis and Scutellaria baicalensis with water and drying; a step of extracting the Saururus chinensis and Scutellaria baicalensis with solvent; a step of cooling the extract at room temperature and filtering; a step of decompress-concentrating and freeze-drying; and a step of mixing the extract of Saururus chinensis and Scutellaria baicalensis.
