    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of polysulfones having a yellowness index according to DIN 6167 of less than 19 and polyether sulfones having a yellowness index according to DIN 6167 of less than 30, wherein the polymerization is carried out in basic, aprotic solvents with the use of a positively conveying stirrer passing close to the wall. The present invention also relates to the polyether sulfones and polysulfones obtainable for the first time by this process and to the use of such polymers for the production of moldings, films, membranes and foams.

    Abstract: Procedimiento integrado para la obtención de trioxano a partir de formaldehído, que comprende las etapas siguientes: a) se alimentan a un reactor para la síntesis de trioxano una corriente A1, que contiene agua y formaldehído, y una corriente de reciclo B2, que está constituida esencialmente por agua y por formaldehído, en cuyo reactor se convierte el formaldehído para dar trioxano, obteniéndose una corriente de producto A2, que contiene trioxano, agua y formaldehído; b) la corriente A2 se alimenta en una primera columna de destilación como alimentación lateral en la sección de agotamiento y una corriente de reciclo D1, que contiene trioxano, agua y formaldehído, se alimenta en una primera columna de destilación como alimentación lateral en la sección de enriquecimiento, y se lleva a cabo la destilación a una presión situada en el intervalo comprendido entre 0,1 y 2,5 bares, obteniéndose una corriente B1, que está enriquecida en trioxano, y la corriente B2, que está constituida esencialmente por agua y por formaldehído; c) la corriente B1 se alimenta a una segunda columna de destilación y se lleva a cabo la destilación a una presión situada en el intervalo comprendido 0,2 y 17,5 bares, obteniéndose una corriente de producto C2, que está constituida esencialmente por trioxano, y una corriente C1, que contiene trioxano, agua y formaldehído; d) la corriente C1 se alimenta a una tercera columna de destilación y se lleva a cabo la destilación a una presión situada en el intervalo comprendido entre 1 y 10 bares, obteniéndose la corriente de reciclo D1, que contiene trioxano, agua y formaldehído, y una corriente D2 que está constituida esencialmente por agua.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an integrated process for preparing trioxane from formaldehyde in which, in a first step, a stream A 1 comprising water and formaldehyde and a recycle stream B 2 consisting substantially of water and formaldehyde are fed to a trioxane synthesis reactor in which the formaldehyde is converted to trioxane to obtain a product stream A 2 comprising trioxane, water and formaldehyde. Stream A 2 and a recycle stream D 1 comprising trioxane, water and formaldehyde are fed to a first distillation column and distilled at a pressure in the range from 0.1 to 2.5 bar to obtain a stream B 1 enriched in trioxane, and the stream B 2 consisting substantially of water and formaldehyde. Stream B 1 is fed to a second distillation column and distilled at a pressure in the range from 0.2 to 17.5 bar to obtain a product stream C 2 consisting substantially of trioxane, and a stream C 1 comprising trioxane, water and formaldehyde. Stream C 1 is fed to a third distillation column and distilled at a pressure in the range from 1 to 10 bar to obtain the recycle stream D 1 comprising trioxane, water and formaldehyde, and a stream D 2 consisting substantially of water.

Preparation of trioxane and at least a co-monomer for the preparation of (co)polymer on trioxane basis, comprises: (a) converting formaldehyde and at least a co-monomer educt to trioxane and co-monomer in an aqueous solution to obtain a reaction mixture containing trioxane, co-monomer, formaldehyde, water and optionally co-monomer educt, by synthesis step; (b) distilling the reaction mixture in a first distillation step at a first pressure to obtain stream (B1) enriched with trioxane and comonomer, and a stream (B2) containing water, formaldehyde and optionally comonomer-educt; and (c) distilling the stream (B1) in a second distillation step at a pressure above the pressure of the first distillation step to obtain stream (C1) containing trioxane, co-monomer and water, and a product stream (C2) containing co-monomer and trioxane.
