    Abstract: L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de détermination de l'œil directeur (12) d'un individu (2), comportant les étapes suivantes : - Positionnement de l'individu (2) devant un appareillage (10) conçu pour acquérir au moins une image (13) de face dudit individu (2), puis pour traiter ladite image (13) et enfin restituer une information permettant à l'individu (2) de connaitre son œil directeur (12), - Visualisation au moyen d'un dispositif de visée (7) doté d'une fenêtre optique (18), d'une cible (6) identifiable et repérable par rapport à l'appareillage (10), cette visualisation s'effectuant à travers ladite fenêtre (18) et les deux yeux ouverts, les dimensions de ladite fenêtre (18) étant telles qu'elle ne permet pas à l'individu (2) de voir ladite cible (6) avec les deux yeux en même temps, - Acquisition par l'appareillage (10) d'au moins une image (13) permettant de visualiser au moins la position des deux yeux de l'individu (2), - Traitement par calculs de ladite au moins une image (13), en tenant compte de la position d'un point central situé entre les deux yeux, de la position de la cible (6) et de la position de la fenêtre (18), - Restitution par l'appareillage (10) de l'information indiquant l'œil directeur (12) de l'individu (2).

    Abstract: A method of shaping an ophthalmic lens includes machining the edge face of the lens by at least one rotary tool having an axis of rotation movable relative to the lens axis, both in rotation and radial and axial translation. These movements are controlled so that the edge face of the lens presents a profiled shape with an engagement ridge suitable for engaging in a bezel of eyeglasses and first and second margins. Given first and second longitudinal curves of the first and second margins, respectively, the edge face of the lens is machined in such a manner that, at each axial section of the lens, the traces in the axial section of the first and second longitudinal curves present first and second distances from the axis of the lens, with the difference (rs) therebetween being a function of the position of the plane of the axial section under consideration.
