    Abstract: In this lift installation, lift braking equipment (11) brakes and holds a li ft cage (2).     Abstract: The subject of the invention is a lift installation (1) with a lift cage (2) , which moves in vertical direction along guide tracks (7). In the case of need the lift cage (2) is braked by a braking equipment (11) or held at standstill. The braking equipment (11) consists of at least two brake units (12).
