The catch device (38a-38d) comprises an electrically controlled activating mechanism (45; 45a) with a pivotably mounted activating lever (47; 47a) and an activating spring (52) which, if required, causes the cam disk (55; 55a) to rotate about the activation angle of rotation via the activating lever (47; 47a).

Abstract: The invention relates to a catch device (38c) on the lift car (2a) of a lift system (100a), comprising a braking device (300) which interacts with a guide rail (7d) of the lift car. The braking device (300) comprises a cam disk (55) which can be rotated about a cam disk axis and which is caused to activate the catch device (38c) to rotate about an activation angle of rotation. The catch device has an electromagnet (45) with a pivotally mounted activating lever (47) and an activating spring (52) which, if required, causes the cam disk to rotate about the activation angle of rotation via the activating lever. The cam disk is designed in such a way that as a result of the rotation about the activation angle of rotation it comes into contact with the guide rail, whereby the guide rail, moving relative to the catch device when the lift car is travelling, rotates the cam disk into a position into which the braking device produces the intended braking action. This occurs because further rotation of the cam and its associated cylindrical projection (58) to pushes a break element (43) against the guide rail.
