    Abstract: PURPOSE: A hair cosmetic useful as shampoo, rinse, setting lotion, hair spray, etc., providing hair with proper style retention and formation properties and good touch, having improved combing properties, containing a flavanol derivative or further a peptide compound.
    CONSTITUTION: A hair cosmetic containing 0.001W0.05wt% flavanol derivative selected from epicatechin (compound shown by the formula), epigallocatechin, epicatechin gallate, epigallocatechin gallate, catechin, and gallocatechin, or further 0.05W3wt% collagen, or keratin, especially peptide compound such as silk, etc. An extract from tea is used as the flavanol derivative, and green tea, nonfermented tea, is most perferable since it has the highest content of the flavanol derivative.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make spray particles fine by providing a pressure controller gradually supplying the high pressure gas in a miniature bomb into an aerosol container and a traverse pore communicated with the compressed gas in the container to the spray port thereof. CONSTITUTION:When an actuator 17 is pushed down, an aerosol stokc liquid 5 and a compressed gas 6 are mixed in a mixing chamber 12a and the formed mixture is sprayed from a spray port 15. In this case, the compressed gas 6 is flowed into from the traverse pore 11a provided to the spray port 15 to accelerate spray particles. In addition, when pressure of the compressed gas 6 is lowered, the diaphragm 8 of the pressure controller 3 is expanded upwardly and a push-up pin 9 pushes up the sealing ball 10 of a miniature bomb 7 to discharge the high pressure gas in the miniature bomb 7 into an aerosol container 1. As described, pressure reduction of the compressed gas is extremely low and the aerosol spraying apparatus spraying fine particles can be provided.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:A hair setting agent that contains a macromolecular compound for setting hair and an adduct of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide to a higher alcohol by specific amounts, thus showing high curl retention and giving good feel to the hair after setting. CONSTITUTION:The objective hair setting agent contains (A) a macromolecular compound that is conventionally used for hair setting (0.2-10.0, preferably 0.5- 3.0wt%), (B) an adduct of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide to a higher alcohol of formulaI(R is 8-20C aliphatic hydrocarbon, preferably 12-18C alkyl; n is 10-50, preferably 20-40; m is 3-20, preferably 3-10) (0.05-1.0 times the weight of component A), preferably further (C) squalane of formula II (0.05-2.0 times the weight of component A). The resultant agent develops remarkable setting effect, when applied as a set lotion or hair spray.
