Abstract:
Methods for improving the time to acquire an identity of a base station by a mobile station, by relying on locally-unique attributes of the base stations instead of globally-unique attributes of the base stations, are presented. In some embodiments, data may be requested, the data may contain a globally unique attribute of a base station, a first locally unique attribute of the base station, and a second locally unique attribute of the base station. In some embodiments, data may be received in response to the request, the data may contain at least the first locally unique attribute and the second locally unique attribute. It may then be determined that the data did not contain the globally unique attribute, and an identity of the base station based at least in part on the first locally unique attribute and the second locally unique attribute may be acquired.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for wireless communication in a wireless communication network include maintaining a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) list and receiving an information request from a network, wherein the information request is associated with configuration parameters associated with the PLMN list. Aspects of the methods and apparatus configuring the UE based on the configuration parameters associated with the PLMN list. Aspects also include replying to the network that the UE is configured with the configuration parameters associated with the PLMN list.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) user equipment (UE) may communicate, using a first SIM, on a plurality of component carriers. The multi-SIM UE may select a first subset of component carriers from the plurality of component carriers based at least in part on a component carrier prioritization. The multi-SIM UE may identify an amount of memory available to a second SIM. The multi-SIM UE may tune away, based at least in part on the amount of memory available to the second SIM, from a second subset of component carriers The first subset of component carriers may be different from the second subset of component carriers. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may detect that a first subscription, of a plurality of subscriptions associated with the UE, is associated with an active service on a first cellular network. The UE may search, for a second subscription of the plurality of subscriptions, for radio access technologies (RATs) and frequency bands that are compatible with a dual active mode of the UE. In some aspects, the UE may detect that the active service on the first cellular network has ended. Accordingly, the UE may search, for the second subscription, for RATs and frequency bands that are compatible with the dual active mode of the UE and for RATs and frequency bands that are incompatible with the dual active mode, before expiry of a timer associated with a power saving state. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish a first call associated with a first subscriber of the UE. The UE may establish a second call associated with a second subscriber of the UE, wherein the first subscriber and the second subscriber are active contemporaneously, and wherein the first call and the second call are associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). The UE may identify a mobility event that associated with an interruption to at least one of the first call and the second call, the mobility event involving switching the first subscriber to a second RAT. The UE may perform a mitigation action. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Aspects of the disclosure relate to communication via a dual subscriber identification module (SIM) dual standby (DSDS) user equipment (UE) are disclosed. In an aspect, the DSDS UE may establish a first connection with a base station through a communication link via a first subscription using a frequency resource, and may establishing a second connection with the base station through the communication link via a second subscription using the frequency resource. The DSDS UE may further perform communication with the base station via at least one of the first subscription or the second subscription through the communication link using the frequency resource.
Abstract:
A method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE). The apparatus determines that a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a second SIM of the UE share a cross switch and determines whether to modify concurrent operation of the first SIM or the second SIM based, at least in part, on a determination that the first SIM and the second SIM of the UE share the cross-switch. The concurrent operation of the first SIM and the second SIM may include the first SIM performing SRS antenna switching and the second SIM performing an idle mode activity.
