Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize a uniform panorama video images which is not uneven.
SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging section 10 for acquiring unit images constituting a panorama video image; a drive section for moving the imaging range of the imaging section 10; and a central processing section 30 for controlling the imaging section 10 and the drive section 20. At the time of imaging the unit image, optimal imaging conditions of exposure, white balance, focal point, and the like, are held at the imaging section 10 regardless of the unit image. These unit images are synthesized as a sheet of panorama image at the image processing section 32 in the central processing section 30.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly display data which is designed to specific resolution on a PDA according to its screen size. SOLUTION: Low-resolution data which need to be compatible are normally sent out to an image conversion part through data buses LD0 and LD1 (Fig. 10A). The image conversion part two times-magnifies the data from the data bus LD0 laterally and outputs it to an LCD through LCD buses D0 and D1, and two times-magnifies the data from the data bus LD1 laterally and outputs it to the LCD through LDC buses D2 and D3 (Fig. 10B). The LCD latches the data sent through the LCD bus D0 to D3 successively according to clock pulses (CLK) and outputs latched data of one line longitudinally twice according to double pulses (DBLLP). Consequently, the data which need to be compatible are two times-magnified laterally and longitudinally and displayed on the LCD.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To confirm a synthetic image when a plurality of partial images for constituting the synthetic image are photographed. SOLUTION: The image of a subject is supplied to a camera block 2 via a mirror block 1. Focusing, zooming, a shutter speed and an iris, etc., are controlled by the camera block 2. A PC 3 is provided with an extension board 4 for receiving an image signal from the camera block 2, an HDD a5 for recording the image signal and an AP 6. A monitor 7 is connected to the PC 3 as an output unit and a K/B 8 and a mouse 9 are connected as an input unit. The mirror block 1 is controlled by a mirror servo circuit 11 and a control circuit 12. The mirror block 1 is provided with a structure where an active mirror which is horizontally shaken by ±120 deg. in a longitudinal direction by +±15 deg.. The mirror servo circuit 11 controls the mirror block 1 in accordance with a signal transmitted from the camera block 2 and a signal from the control circuit 12.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display optional information by varying a width of a scroll bar and/or a slider corresponding to condition of informations in an information display method using the scroll bar and the slider. SOLUTION: For example, the whole width of the scroll bar is varied between cases when a zoom lens is placed at wide angle (wide) side and when it is placed at telescope (tele) side as shown in B, C of a drawing, for example, when a zoom lens is controlled. Specifically, the whole width of the scroll bar B is maximized when the zoom lens is controlled at the wide angle side and the whole width of the scroll bar B is varied to become shorter as the control of the zoom lens is moved to the telescope side. In addition, when a display position of the slider S exists outside a range of the scroll bar B in this case, the display position of the slider S is controlled so that it exists within a control range by correcting the display position of the slider S as well and focus distance is simultaneously adjusted to the position. Consequently, for example, a range whose focus at the short distance side is not focused is excluded from the scroll bar B.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panorama image-pickup device that easily forms a panoramic image with high quality through remote control. SOLUTION: This image-pickup device 10 changes the field angle for photographing by driving a magnification lens 16, and the field angle is adjusted by driving a zoom motor 17 through a drive instruction of a camera controller 2. Furthermore, the image-pickup device 10 is placed on a universal head 4 having degrees of freedom in biaxial turning direction of panning/tilting and drives a panning motor 5 and a tilt motor 6 by a drive instruction of a panning- tilter controller 3 to adjust the photographing direction of the image-pickup device 10. An adjustment command is given to a mode controller 1 from a computer 30, via a communication channel, using an RS232C or the like and then delivered to the camera controller 2 and the panning-tilter controller 3. The photographed image and the panorama image are displayed on a monitor 21, and the operator while viewing the display instructs the photographic field angle.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability in the case of control by controlling a pan/tilt camera so that an instructed object can come to the center of the operating area by displaying an image from the pan/tilt camera installed at a distant place onto the operating area of the monitor and instructing any arbitrary one point or area on that operating area. SOLUTION: An image fetched from a camera part 11 is supplied to a videp capture part 29 of a computer 1. That image is displayed onto an operating area 6 of a monitor 2. From a pan/tilt part 12, position information on current pan/tilt is supplied through a mode controller 23 to the computer 1. The computer 1 controls a camera controller 24 and a pan/tilt controller 25. By operating the operating area 6 while using a pointing device (mouse) 14, at the computer 1, data for moving a pan/tilter 28 are found and according to these data, the instructed object is displayed at the center of the screen.

The computer 30 is provided with a storage device 32, an image processing unit 33 and a controller 34, video signal processing and the control to generate a panorama image is conducted by the devices above and in the case of storing the video signal to the storage device 32, various image pickup conditions such as image pickup time, exposure and white balance are added and stored.
